That's cause it IS arbitrary. Dunno, just an irrational dislike of maps featuring only a single country. I'm fine with regional and continental maps for whatever reason, but prefer playing abstract/"unique" and fictional maps. As for reason? I'm just in the dark as you are. All I know is I don't like 'em.
