So I'm trying to play the seasonal ladder for the first time, and the ratings confuse me. I won one game, and my rating, although I'm sure it was very inaccurate, was 2025. I then won two more games (my first opponent has not finished another game since I beat him), and my rating is now 1791. Can anyone explain how this works?
If your opponents you played start losing games, their ratings drop and thus yours. Basically, it takes like half the season for your rating to really get accurate. Early on it will fluctuate a lot.
your Rating depends on your win % but also on the average Rating of your opponents. so if your first Opponent has a much higher Rating than the next ones, your Rating might also be decreased because of that.
Also, on the seasonal, you recieve 40 extra Points for every game that has been set up with you.
you get 40 additional rating Points for every game you recieve on the seasonal ladder. That's because HHH won a season once with like 16 wins and Fizzer wants Player to Play 20 games to win a season. it can also happen, that a Player gets 21 games till the season Ends. That's because there might not be the perfect number for matchups. This Player gets 40gifted Points more in the end, but if you're ranked high, it's not necessarily an Advantage, cause a loss costs you more Points than a win gives.
Please...someone help me. I play already like 15 games in 1x1 ladder and had 1642 points, but i´m not ranked.....why is that? am i doing something wrong? Or i must be a member to get ranked?
