Yeah, the current setup work along those lines although I have yet to codify it into any meaningful algorithm.

You don't want to assign games based on max games, but rather # of games currently in. If I have set max to 5 games at a time but am not currently in any, I shouldn't be prioritized behind someone who has set max to 2 and is currently in 1.

I'm getting pretty apt with Phantom now, or if there is something better we can run it through?

I still need to find a way to create games though, if I can't do it though Phanton I could give Selinium a try, or is there something else you know that might work well? :)

Some small updates:

- ranking is now slightly changed (still Elo but the points taken into account by the formula are calculated differently) in order to minimize early matchup inaccuracies (ratings tended to be super-inflated/deflated for players who join the league with high limits)

- all games will now have private chat so you can use it to take notes (especially when you have intel on your opponent's picks) and speed things up if you'd like

- I'm also open to suggestions for new templates

@Beren: it's based on both values at the present (~sorted first by Elo rating, then by Current Games, then by Limit- so first priority goes to players with low limits who are in the fewest games; not strictly sorted, though to avoid uneven matchups). Still refining it (each cycle so far has used a different variant, actually).

@Fleece: I'm writing KAT (the automation thingy) in Python+gspread at the present but if you could use Phantom to create an API endpoint that would let me send mail to players (or even create/query games- that would be the dream!), that would be amazing here.

Mailing players is something I want to be able to do as well, I want to fully auto-mate these secret alliance diplomacies...

Just haven't found out a way to get Phantom to interact yet, either it's not been developed yet or I'm missing something :/

Hmm I think it's also possible to figure out the requests by checking the JS functions associated with the Mail button and tracking all outgoing requests.

I'm going to start learning how to do the monitoring next, so I guess I'll see :)

You can do it trivially with certain browser extensions and it seems to be built into Chrome now as well.

Looks very trivial with Phantom too, that may be the way to do it (monitoring)
