Well if you looked at the link instead of making judgements about the site (warlight is quite a nerdy game, so would it be fair if I said you were a fat 30 year old virgin? You probably aren't), you would see that this guy goes into a lot of depth, and clearly knows what he's talking about.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed
This is a direct quote from the US constitution
A WELL REGULATED MILITIA. it doesnt say that all people should have guns, it says a well regulated militia should have guns. quite frankly most gun owning people are not part of a well regulated militia

chuck norris,
There are Two clauses in the 2nd amendment.
1. A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state,
2. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed

Of course, starting a discussion on semantics will Lead to more confusion (misplaced commas).

lol chuck norris you do realize that a well regulated militia is not equivalent to a standing army right? A militia is made of up of free citizens not contractually or institutionally bound to the federal government.

by any definition of the words well regulated they are not
the definition of regulate is: control (something, especially a business activity) by means of rules and regulations.
guns are not regulated any idiot can waltz into a gun store and buy one as long as they havn't shot someone in the past

Read the amendment again!! The guns are not supposed to be well-regulated, the militia has to be well-regulated. That is a huge difference.

674 i have noticed a trend in the forums, every time someone makes an argument that you dont agree with you say that they are cherrypicking for arguments, if you're going to make bullshit arguments like the cherry picking ones at least try and be original and use different bullshit arguments every time

its written in the constitution that the people bearing arms should be well trained so if you want to follow the laws of your country make people go through training before giving them a gun

referring to a well armed and trained populace.

I'm not sure about this :P

When they say a "well-regulated militia" I believe (according to Anti-Federalist political policy) that they were referring to state controlled militias. As in each state would organized and determine the training requirements for their militia. But no where in the constitution is the Federal Government given explicit authority to regulate guns.
