Hello all!

I'm intending to create a new format up game. This may already already be done, if so awesome...

There will be 2 types, which I want to develop, I will be the "Game Master" or whatever in each one, and each game will be practise.

It will not be about winning what-so-ever, and hence practise.

Ok, so what the hell is it?

Type a) There will be say... 6 players. Each player will be PMed information on who their ally is, it's not public so they can try and use that to their advantage, it might be say, a secret 2v2v2. This may or may not work, so if it needs spice I will be adding in additional rules, such as... Secret targets (you must kill these 2 players to win) and/or secret protectors (you must not let these 2 players die) or a mix, or whatever...

Type b) Special rules and win conditions. If you've ever played Mafia, then it's this. If you haven't, then basically imagine 6 players all with secret agendas and win conditions. Both of these types will have overlap and will need development but have potentially limitless possibilities.

Note: This is NOT about strategy, tactics, or actually how good you are at playing Warlight. It's 100% about talking to opponents, working out what their motives are, who you can trust, who is going to back-stab you, etc... The only way I can think to describe it is like a "Pure Diplomacy"

What I need:

A life.

Players who are willing to help test out these games and who are actually interested in playing them :)

I'm going to probably talk to some of the RP clans, as it ties in with that sort of thing, but I think it would also be a laugh for many players, hence making it public too :)

These games won't have PEs, if anyone breaks any rules I give out then the game will be void. The player will be removed from the system and a new game will start. Simple and easy. As I said, these games are not about winning. Well, they sort of are, but in a different way to normal. The focus should be on the discussions than the troops :)

Actually I don't think I have the time...you note its time consuming...so I would be a bad tester for this. Talk to me during spring break.

Thanks for the sign ups, there's enough here to start something, I will start things super simple to begin with and I can always add complexity, there will be a lot of talking (pretty much a "talking" match, in fact!)

Poir, I would be interested to know more about that, maybe we can combine our ideas? I think Warlight would be a great format to build Mafia games on :)

Ok, I'm setting up the first two matches, each with 6 players, when I get 6 more I will set up another, and keep going, hopefully improving the template and mixing around players as it develops :)
