Imagine you're a 3 year old with a set of building blocks (not too hard to imagine tbh). You have 50 of them, but there is a drooling 4 year old next to you. The drooling, bigger, 4 year old starts slowly taking your building blocks away. By the time half an hour passes (if the patience upholds), you have 30 building blocks left, because the drooling 4 year old keeps taking them for himself. Naturally, you're going to do something to that person who keeps stealing from you, right?

Nobody cares if Israel gives Palestine "more autonomy". They want Israel to give Palestine independence. If that doesn't happen, then I feel no sympathy for Israel.

Lol unfortunately if Israel gave Palestinian independence, the Palestinians would literally celebrate by bombing Tel-Aviv XD. Honestly? There things wrong in that picture. 1 why doesn't it Matter if the big kid ( presumably Israel ) is drooling? Your purposefully trying to make Jews look idiotic which in fact is racist something which your supposedly against. 2 your comparing blocks to the survival of two nations?. 3 Palestine is by no means innocent. People think if Israel gave Palestinian independence all the bombing would end. They don't understand that this isn't about independence, it's about the fact that Palestinian Muslims and Jews will always continue to kill each other until one of them is wiped off the map. And you forgot the must important part of your picture! After the Israeli big bully steals the blocks from the poor little innocent Palestinian.....the Palestinian jumps up, laps the other boys head off and then goes and murders the kids family in his sleep :)

You nitpick out of my analogy, but fail to answer the question: Why should Palestinians be subject to inferior rights than Israelis? Is that fair?

Clement, tbe map is outdated.
UK recognized Palestine in 2014.

We don't currently, but in my opinion we should. However, there was a successful vote on a motion to recognise Palestine in the House of Commons in 2014, which I think is what you're referring to. It stated:

This House believes that the government should recognise the state of Palestine alongside the state of Israel as a contribution to securing a negotiated two-state solution.

However, since this was a motion and not a bill, this was completely symbolic and had no impact on official recognition.

France also recognized Palestine in 2014, pretty outdated indeed.

After a bit of research, it sounds like French politicians decided a non-binding vote in favour of recognising Palestine, but it wasn't official recognition. However, I don't fully understand how the French government works.

the national assembly and the senate voted for a recognition in late 2014 (if i recall it well) so yes it is a recognition from France basically, nothing else to understand beyond this.

I don't understand why people think the 2-state solution will work.

Both countries would be split up. It would be chaos as people from each side try to get to the other.

STFU. You people are so uneducated. Arabs have every right Jews do. Everytime Israel gives Palestinians something, they shoot rockets at them. Once they have proven they can have automomy without following Hamas and shooting rockets at Israel, they can have full independence. Also, Clement, what were you thinking choosing Palestine? You have to have known the controversy it would engender.

EDIT: I do not believe Palestine should be recognized

GeneralPE, actually you are the uneducated person here.

In fact, you're so uneducated that you can't read.

You can't read, that this country was randomly selected.

About rights. It's clear that Palestinians don't have the same rights Israelis do. Their territory is largely occupied, and Israel are breaking international law. Palestinians are subject to Israeli curfews, and there are several reports of Israeli soldiers abusing Palestinian citizens, for no other reason than "they are Palestinian, and I was occupying their territory".

So, to throw those words back into your mature mouth "STFU".

totally agree with Ox, it is no secret that Israel is not respecting international treaties, colonizing and invading foreign and sovereign lands are breaking International law.

On the other hand I understand Israel defending itself against extremists, the situation is so catastrophic in some Palestinian zones (like Gaza) that misery generates hatred and extremist acts. Palestinians arent the only guilty ones, Israel and its allies are the main responsible of the current situation, not only in Palestine but the whole Middle East (see Syria/Iraq).

"totally agree with Ox, it is no secret that Israel is not respecting international treaties, colonizing and invading foreign and sovereign lands are breaking International law." They are't doing anything you said. The lands aren't sovereign, and even if they were, they simply suppress terrorism. They aren't actively colonizing in any way. Furthermore, you hate on Israel for "breaking internaitonal law" while I doubt you think Iran should be punished for breaking the Geneva Convention this week.

As a side note, I believe international law is a terrible idea. It does nothing but empower tyrannical regimes and radicals.

How? Everything you say is wrong. Israel has no opression, it is the most liberal nation in the Middle East. The situation has nothing to do with Israel and the West's imperialsim and evil, and everything to do with Muslim extremism and violence and intolerance. Muslim nations treat Non-Muslims as second-class citizens, but there is no outrage over that. The only reason is that Christians don't F*CKING blow themselves up and launch knife assaults on innocent civilians. This is simply Muslims carrying on Mohammed's work of conquering the globe through jihad. Blaming Israel for ISIS and Islamic extremism and intolerance, when it existed in 622 when Mohammed founded Islam is naive, wrong, and dangerous to Western civilization.

I'm not even reading the shit you say Karl.

General, don't make assumptions. They are weak. Who knows what he thinks of Iran? You certainly don't.

Don't try and defend Israel's human rights abuses. They are enforcing curfews. They clearly oppress them a lot. They are not suppressing terrorism. They are provoking it. They are committing it. They are clearly colonising. Look at this.

You can find several versions of that just about anywhere. This isn't selective. If that isn't colonising, tell me what is.

it is the most liberal nation in the Middle East.

LOL. CONGRATS ON BEING MORE LIBERAL THAN SAUDI ARABIA AND IRAN.

and everything to do with Muslim extremism and violence and intolerance.

Not true in the slightest. You can't lie about Israel's clear oppression of Palestinian citizens.

Islam is naive, wrong, and dangerous to Western civilization.

Now this is simply offensive, bigoted, thoughtless and rude.

Ox, koala, I'm sure if Palestine would stop firing Rockets Israel that would help also XD. plus you do realise that all electricity, Water, food, clothing, Education, is provided by Israel? Right? Muslims countries protest treatment of Palestinians yet Jordan and Iraq won't even let them enter there countries much less actually help Israel supply them. Even is Palestine became a sovereign state it would declare war on Israel the day after

Historically, the land originally belonged to the tribes of Cainan and they were either killed or integrated into the Jewish tribes so technically it is Jewish land since the living descendants of those original tribes are now Jewish
