Im playing in various tournaments and in 2 of them, my teammates have gone AWOL. Is there anyway i can withdraw from these without suffering the losses on my record that being a man short will inevitably bring?

nope. that's why I would say stay away from team tournaments unless you know that person.

Great that means i will suffer 9 losses (as its asia map - highly unlikely to win short handed there)
