state what you're about. Why should people join you, what games do you like, whats the vibe like in your clan/the community, how active are you. etc.

If you want people to join your random clan, you're out of luck because people would rather join Darklords or XS.

Hey there. Good luck with building your clan.

Don't just go on the forum and ask for recruits. If you want to build your clan, you have to solidly focus on what you want to build it on. Do you want to have a large community of strategic players, who can learn from each other in constant competitive play? Do you want to have a community of role players who have fun taking the role of a country or person and playing diplos with this goal? Maybe a bit of both? Whichever the case, the forum is a bad place to look.

Instead, make recruitment games. If you want to be diplo-oriented, create some diplomacy games. If you want to be strategic oriented, scout some players on ladders, and create strategic team game / 1v1 games with prereqs.

Do you want to be competitive, playing in leagues such as Clan League, or do you want to be casual, who play just for fun? Find out who you are marketing to, instead of just saying "Hey, we're a clan. Join us if you want." It'll allow your clan to grow much faster in numbers, activity, and reputation.
