Hi everyone,

i never thought much about getting into a clan. Today someone asked me if i wanna join Vitrix Mortalis. So i started checking some clans. Just got confused. How do i know which clans are active ?

About me: I started April 2015 on my phone and got to lv48 now. I didnt really know how everything worked so i just tried it all. Played lots of Real time games with diplos at first. I didnt realize there was a whole profile with stats and everything. I also just let me get booted often in those 3-5min boot games, when i was occupied or know i lost. About 2 month ago i started checking the pc version and noticed it all. I changed my gaming behaviour, also cause some ppl mentioned my boot rate. But i got into multi day games ffa latetly so these boot rates wont change fast. So my stats in all are crap. I wont start another account, since i dont think i fit to those clans who only stare at some numbers. Some ppl do appreciate my matches and gaming. My stats are different than my actual play now.

What clans i would be interested in: I play diplos,dm in bigger teams or ffa, also 1v1/2v2 tournaments. I would try other options aswell. Just what im into at the moment. So the clan should be more open to everything. I dont like clans which are too big tho. But i dont want to get into something, whats dead after a month.

Would appreciate any suggestions or some info about the world of clans here :)

AOE has minimum entry requirement rules - all you have to do is have played at least 10 games (check) and have less than a 60% boot rate (check...but barely haha). AOE focuses on diplomacy, role play, and FFAs. We are also active in the RP Clan League and we try to run multiple tournaments and games with other clans (such as CORP, Wolves, etc). We would be happy to include you in our clan. Let me know if you want an invite.

You would probably be best joining CORP but I'm kinda looking for recruits for my own clan :) any in all seriousness CORP is probably best

CORP is not only for RP. They've got a substantial number of strategic players and are getting better (although they're not on the same level as clans like MASTER, French, Illuminati, Apex, etc., in terms of having elite players); Fizz Jong-un just doesn't let clans change their names because apparently one unique identifier isn't enough.

CORP just does everything, like a few other clans.

btw. i dont care about how "famous" the clan is.

Not really; most of them are just well-maintained. The clans with a lot of inactives just tend to have shit leadership or a rather casual playerbase trapped in a cycle of mediocrity.

You could just check out the top rankings on ladders in order to figure out which clans have the most skilled players (or the Clan League).

Ofc, unless you're at their level of skill, you probably won't get immediate benefits from joining their clan- in which case your best bet is a reasonably skilled clan with very high activity where you can learn. And they have to be willing to accept you- that narrows things down.

Your profile doesn't make any skill evident so unless you could pull off some solid gameplay in a 1v1, you're not going to make it into clans like M'Hunters/Illuminati/etc. and have to go for less restrictive options. Most of these clans (The Lost Wolves, Falcons, AOE) are cesspools that only trap you into further mediocrity, so you're left with things like {TJC} (pretty active, pretty good players- not the best, though- I think their peak is smileyleg who's a few steps better than me- I'm a rather mediocre player), Fizzer Appreciation Group (not sure about their internal activity; they have great players like Krzychu but they also don't seem to be that much more than a gimmick), AWF, HAWKS, etc. Within that, you probably want to narrow down by activity (so you can actually play games and hopefully learn) and player aptitude (so you don't play a bunch of games with mediocre players and have your skill growth level off until you find a different group).

CORP seems like the only real option here- although I'm obviously biased (I have history with them); their players aren't the best (I think their peak is Ink Splatoon, Chancho, and Mr. Legi- which are all really good players but not elite contenders) and below that they have a large good/mediocre layer that's also pretty active. I don't think you can get a better deal- although ideally you'd end up with a clan that's got good players willing to teach you a bunch (like how you get smarter by hanging around with smart people, basically), I don't really see how that's an option given that the best players tend to be in elite/restrictive clans.

Knyte also tends to be highly "vitriolic". Impolite bordering on offensive. AOE's surprising strength in the RP clan league (even though many of our players were booted) should be an indication that his value judgement isn't completely unbiased.

Look at all the clan pages and then go where you'll feel most comfortable. That's a lot to it. Clans are supposed to be fun :P

If you were to join CORP
We have 2 sectors within.
one for strategic
one for diplo
As for you
you will be able to join our diplo sector
and not the statsgic sector
because our strategic sector has a tough entry
but joining the diplo is not bad at all
it helps a lot and if you are able to prove good results you will be able to go forth our strategic sector

Hello, One Piece!

If you are looking for a clan that is not too large and does just about anything, I would recommend to you my own clan- the FCC. We do not recruit people based on how good they are, but rather how well they represent the five principles that we stand for: strength, honor, unity, liberty, and growth. In addition, our clan does not have a specific genre, as in strategy or Roleplay, but rather is structured around these principles instead. We do anything that our clan members want to- Diplomacy, FFA, competative 1v1- you name it. I took this clan back from the grave, and now it hosts a colorful bunch of closely-knit people who are dedicated to improving themselves as warlighters, whether that be the game, mapmaking, programming, or something different entirely. Although it is not quite where I envision it to be, it grows closer to being a successful clan every day.
