It's tougher to get into the military than a university. Less than 1%of the population is in our military in America.

Psycho tests, Asvab, basic training, actual training, etc. It all takes a long time and demanding.

They are failures. Businesses are fleeing those countries. They're on the verge of collapse just like the US during the 20s.

This is laughably innacurate. MAYBE that's was KINDA true 50 years ago... but the lifestyle in (the cities in) China has changed drasctically.

Likely as not, within 50 years China will be about on par with America lifestyle wise (maybe even better).

firstly i was exagerating and secondly companies do go to where labour is cheaper, and thirdly if the minimum wage rises in china the companies are going to move to other places with lower minimum wages

yes we have more money and that is because there is a slight inflation rate almost everywhere but the rich gain more money than that inflation rate makes. lets put it this way, a rich person makes 100 dollars, 20 dollars comes from inflation, the other 80 comes from other people, for all intents and purposes money is finite, what your implying is that we print money whenever we need it but that leads to runaway inflation. The rich gain property and bonds and stocks, but from the stocks they gain money and property they use to gain money or sell the property for money so they are getting money as well

I think I can rest my case that Chuck Norris knows absolutely nothing about economics. Money is not finite. Literally google search that question. You're wrong. Period. Second I never said we print money whenever we need it. If you're talking about Quantitative Easing that has to do with monetary supply and interest rates, and I think the artificial QE policy is disastrous. And the rich don't gain property, bonds, and stocks...they buy it. You can buy some too Chuck Norris. I would advise against buying oil company stocks though. Go take high school level Macro or Micro and you'll understand better how the US economy works. Inflation is nowhere near 20% so I don't know what you're saying at all.

Yeah I was poor too but I worked hard. Bought a house with a bit of money I had saved and then bought stocks and bonds. Now I no longer have a need to work. Also do you think the poor create their own jobs? Without the wealthy everyone would die because their wouldn't be any work. No one would have any incentive to work in a communist state in which the gov provides jobs so dont say that the gov will provide.

EXACTLY. THATS ECONOMICS, MORON.

And when those countries have developed and their minimum wages are higher, the companies will move again. And again. And again.

Companies will always go to higher cheaper workers.

As almost everyone said, I think that the best economic system is between capitalism and communism.

CAPITALISM :
+ It incites people to work in order to be wealthy. In that kind of system, noone could be a lazy people depending on someone else. So that bring to a global increase of the country wealth
- The rich become richer and richer at the expense of the poor. It also leads to a very selfish system. Rich have the power the others try to make things work.

COMMUNISM :
+A really nice idea at the beggining. A real equality between everyone. A job for all, no starvation, no poverty.
-As all the wealth is spread to everyone, whose who work hard and the others, most of the population will stop working. ( It could also happend in a more moderate system like in France actually were people could earn more than the minimum wages without working, just with the aids). So like what happend in USSR the society could stop developping and enter into dire straits.

For me a good economic system should have some caracteristics :
-A minimum wages for all the workers. It has to be enough to guarantee a decent life (He could be adapt to the economic situation of the region)
-Free or almost free education paid by the community. To develop a fair society, everyone must start on an equal footing. That could be done also for the access to the culture.
-Taxes for all but divide proportionaly to the wages of the family.
-A little wages to those whose are not working but not enough to give them a good life. So they will have to find a work rapidly.
-Help for the disableswith a program to help them having a place in the society.
-Some public services such as train, bus, post office.
-A system to create some association easily in order to let people do what they want in community to develop the society (sportive associations, charity, renovation of the heritage, etc).
-Pension adapted to the wage earn on average by the person.

All that rules must be exactly the same for everyone to work. An utopian program as the one whose are currently favoured by the system will never accept to renounce to their advantages.

Moreover, all of that needs a lot of money from the country, which will be provide by taxes. In order to limit the debt of the state, the number of civil servants and local government officers will have to be reduce as much as possible.

The public universities like Rutgers and Michigan State are all cut-throat competitive now. Providing free public university education will increase the pool of applicants, however the pool of acceptances will only increase slightly (not as much as the applicant pool). This will put upward pressure on grades, SAT scores, and extra-curricular activities. People with average or below average high school grades will be even more hard-pressed to get into decent state universities. Acceptances will increase for Jews and Asians, will decrease for Caucasians, and probably won't increase for Blacks or Hispanics.

If I said rich are getting richer and richer is because in our current society, if you are a beggar, that will be difficult for you to escape poverty. A rich man, if he works well, could keep his wealth and makes some more money with some skills. (I see the process of acquisition of wealth like a kind of poker. It's for be one of the best comparison I could find. I know, all of that is much more complicated, but i think we are not speaking about the most specifics parts of our economy. All what I said was only about basics shemes).
For the part about communism, I was speaking of the starting point, the first idea : an equal spread of the wealth (sometimes with a little weighting for the highly qualified people). I know that in all the past and current communist societies, it's completely false, as there are always people trying to get the power (which is quite often brings by the money...). So we have never seen a real communist country.

Anyone who works hard can live at least a modest life. Don't cry about muh poverty. Just work. Complaining only serves to draw attention to a problem. There is no problem with wealth distribution. If you don't like it go live somewhere else.
