I had a good idea for a custom scenario and searched for a map of the Pacific, but I only found the Japan WW2 map. So I looked up Polynesia but no results either. So, anyone think they can make a good map of Polynesia / Pacific?'

You're right, there are no maps of Polynesia/Pacific.

Those aren't what I am looking for. I am looking for a map of Polynesia, which is squarely in the Pacific. I am looking for a map of just those islands within Polynesia. I admit I shouldn't have phrased it as Pacific/Polynesia, but now that you know what I mean perhaps you could find one then?

That's where old atlas books you find in the refernce section of public or university libraries come in handy.

If you can get to one you can usually photcopy from the book and scan it onto your computer and work with it from there, since I don't have a good source to link you to and I haven't got the time to look myself. (I'm assuming you want to make your own map?)

No, I'm not looking for a copy+paste of a map with one territory islands. I was thinking we could get just a map of Polynesia with some smaller islands being the normal one territories and larger ones being a couple of territories. It might not be very strategic ( or it could be , depending ) but it would still be good for rp ( and my scenario idea.. ).

I could make it. I just need a map to trace it on. I'm just too lazy researching information after that last map.

Well, I see two problems with this thread.

1) When you post an idea for a map, you should also post a link to an image that reflects what that map should look like. Otherwise you have pages of people trying to figure out the exact area you want. Since you are not interested in making one as you said (have no motivation), you should at least provide someone with all the tools they need. You are basically expecting them to go %99.9 of the way.

2) As said by Moros/DynamiteT, there is an oceanic map. Those can be used to only play the portion of the map you want. If you had posted an image (like I said above), we'd know what portion you really want. If you post some image of what you are looking for (area wise), then perhaps someone can make a custom scenario on one of the maps people posted in here.

Well if it has most if what you need and it just needs a few more divisions, it is much easier for that person to make a new one. It would be %90 done already. You should try and get that person to do it
