In the core sense, no there's no problem having a clan open for everyone. The problem, as it seems, reading from the posts here, lies with the recruiting ways.
Inviting everyone you can is, if you ask me, close to spamming, inviting people several times is crossing line to spamming.
But on the other hand, it may lie with the way it's setup, say for instance "Average Joe" was part of the "Normal clan" if you can't be officially in two clans, when inviting Average Joe, should return an error saying this player is already part of a clan. :)
I agree with Ska, etc. It is good to have clans available to everyone.
Now, just because I agree with that doesn't mean I cannot tear them to pieces as I would any inexperienced player ('noob') that wanders onto the forums. I am here to enjoy myself, first and foremost, as I'm sure the rest of you are too.
^Says the guy called hidden hand.Well i know where that hand is hiding at.
I think ska is being misunderstood, he is trying to defend this clan by comparing their beginnings to that of 101st and warlighters. We have to admit as a forum we are harsh to new clans especially noob ones.If this was an elitist one will be all over them.
Well I just read the topic briefly, so probably this was already mentioned couple of times, but I received invitation to Illuminati twice so far. From my perspective Illuminati looks like some mass clan, that invites everyone without even checking their skills, not mentioning if they are even interested in joining..
I've played a couple of multi player browser-based strategy games, and there is always clan that put quantity above quality. In most cases such a creations don't last long.
Anyway I don't want to argue about witch clan is better, or so (because there is very simple way to determine it), but I would like to ask Illuminati clan leader and his whole administration to stop sending invitations to me and our clan members.
Agree with Maniek, I don't want anymore invites from you guys and I didn't play with Hidden Hand or Righ, so I don't get how I ended up on their invite list!
@Hidden Hand: Not all of us are right handed and your grammar is worse than most the people who have posted on here :]
There is nothing wrong with a clan that takes everyone, at least everyone has a chance to be in one and like I said, it depends on what you're looking for. I'm not going to give up the clan I earned my way into for a clan that takes everyone off the street so stop sending me invites please :] #TakingMyLeave
