can't blame him though, when you log in and have two dozen games to move in xD

I have about 2-3 dozen to move in at least once a day, and most of them I make at least 2 moves a day

I have four games waiting in the 1v1 ladder for a total of 10 days, 1 hour. That's 2 days 3 hours, 2 days 8 hours, 2 days 16 hours, and 2 days 22 hours. One of the people I'm waiting for is Doushi, obviously, who makes his move every third day at 5am just to be a maximum jerk about it. And today is the one month anniversary of the start of that game, so that's just awesome.

All of these games featured fast moves every few minutes early on, and all of these players have been on the board, posting in the forums. With the exception of Doushi, I've played all of these players and surrendered in our games when I was behind.

So now instead of the five games I've requested on the ladder, I have one open spot for a game while four guys stall losses. Which is fine, except that the person I'm waiting the second longest for is one of the guys in this thread complaining that he doesn't have many games going on. And FWIW, it's not ruthless.

I paid $30 thinking I'd play games on the ladder and it would be fun. This is not fun. It's ridiculous.

Make that 10 days, 5 hours. It's now:
2 days 4 hours
2 days 9 hours
2 days 17 hours
2 days 23 hours

And the guy who I'm playing who is at 2 days 17 hours actually told me in game chat that he wasn't going to pull a doushi and that he'd surrender if he lost the upcoming coinflip that would make the game unwinnable for him.

Randy's recent post saying that he's not going to change the ladder rankings is disappointing. People voted to continue to reward not playing in games where you're behind and reward people more for not losing than for winning. And because of that, I don't get to play at all. That's bull.

The ladder has been mostly slow moving for me as well lately. At most it will be 4 turns until I fully eliminate Doushi in our game, and he'll have to move later today in that game, so about 9-10 more days maximum time until he gets his first loss unless someone else beats him before that point.

Doushi just moved at 2 days, 23 hours and 40 minutes, so I feel like I just gained 20 minutes on that game.

I won't beat Doushi in 4 turns and it sounds like fred's a while away too so it looks like Impaller will be the one to finally break through. Hopefully Doushi will pick things up after he takes his first loss.

Wrong ladder Fred. By general standards our game was quick, but you're right I didn't surrender immediately after last turn. I've gone back and considered whether it's salvagable a couple of times and will most likely just let it expire rather than prolonging what appears inevitable. But delaying for a single turn should not warrant multiple hyperbolic posts on a thread about the 2x2 ladder.

Duke, it wasn't just you, and I didn't call you out by name in the thread. Doushi finally moved at 2 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes. I have two more games that are at 2 days/17 hrs and 2 days/11 hours right now. You waited 2 days, 23 hours to make a move, then let our game expire instead of clicking the surrender button.

All of these games were played fast until they started to go my way. Do you see how these things, together, are making this game less fun for me? It's not that you are doing something so wrong, it's that it's happening so much that I barely get to play, and it gets markedly worse when I have the audacity to get ahead in a game.

By process of elimination and about 2 seconds, I figured out that you were speaking about Duke. Which is fine, but just saying that you did call him out, hence his response to you.

I don't want to call anyone out, but someone in this thread is totally sexy and it isn't Ruthless, Duke, REGL-BLAST, spikeknights, bostonfred or Impaller.

I got someone who just took 2 days 23hrs and 52min on the distribution turn ^_^

2 open spots on the 2x2 ladder for more than a day and no new games. With 27 teams we've had 8 games end in the last 3 days. Play faster people!

I was going to get my buddy Paroxysm to buy a membership and be my 2v2 ladder partner, but he's too busy traveling the world searching for exotic women and fast cars to really hold up his end of the bargain I think. Thus, I am available for ladder partnership if there's someone foolish enough to put up with my mediocrity :)
