Nowadays, there are so many maps in warlight. So I was wondering, what kind of map do you want?
I want to make a new map but I don't have any idea what kind of map.
I already made 6 maps in the past, so I know how to make a map.
Please do not come with proposal maps which are already been made, like in previous threads. (for example a Narnia map)
If you have an idea for a map which already exist in warlight, please tell what you want to improve in that map

1. Europe diplomacy big (~1000 territories)
2. World diplomacy with bonusses based on gdp
3. Indonesia big
4. Southeastern Asia

El Salvador hasn't been made yet.

One map idea that's been going around is for a good map of our Milky Way galaxy, either from the perspective of Earth, or from a perspective 'above' the galaxy, looking 'down', showing the spirals. The idea is for it not to be based on something SciFi/fictional, but to be an actual map of the galaxy, just like the Earth maps we have are really maps of the actual Earth. So, there *is* a really nice new Star Wars Galaxy map, but that's not what I mean, since it's fictional. Territories could represent stars or star systems, or they could represent regions outlined by stars in polygon shapes, similar to constellations perhaps.

There's a lot of great possibilities there. I think it would be awesome.

Southeeast asia/indochina region would be a really good map, I tried one before but I lost interest in it, something like this would be pretty nice,

Here're my two cents, if you want them:

Some WWII themed ones:
Invasion of Normandy(D-Day or something of that nature)
Battle of the Bulge(Last German counter-offensive of the war, major battle. you could do the Maginot Line, a seemingly impenetrable line of French forts)


A Spanish map- Surprisingly, there are no big ones
An Aussie map- Here's a good pic:

Thanks for the ideas, I will check all the ideas and if there are already been made in warlight and if so how to improve those. Links to pictures on internet of your idea are welcome.

I prefer the Cacao's World, I would do it but I don't know how to do maps. :(

You could use a map of aboriginal tribes. This doesn't have the same territory size difference problem which modern political Australia has.

Thanks for all the ideas, some ideas are very interesting
- There're already a lot of Europe maps, so I don't make another one
- There're already to many world maps, even diplomacy world. A diplomacy game based on gdp is a matter of adjusting the bonusses
- I like the Indonesia Big idea, I will search for a good picture to start making a warlight map
- For the Southeastern Asia map I'm not motivated to make one

- I like the El Salvador map idea, but I'm not sure if a map of such a small country will be popular in warlight. If I make a map of El Salvador then it will be a small map.

- A galaxy map is very challenging to make. It is hard to find a good picture of the Milky Way and to name the territories based on reality would be very hard. I agree that there are a lot of possibilities, if you have an picture of your idea please post it here :) then I will check if I can make such a challenging map.

- Discworld is a good idea, althought it would be a small map with only a few bonusses. It would be an option for a smaller map

- Invasion of Normandy --> is more a scenario on a France map
- Battle of the Bulge --> you could use my Benelux/Belgium map to make a scenario of this epic battle
- An Australia map is a great idea but it is already been made by someone else (check the map development forum 1st page)

- I can't find enough information for the Phonecian empire to make a good map
- The same for Cacoas world

- Alb Donau kreis would be a good idea for a small map, althought I don't think one of the so many kreis of Gemany could be popluar in the warlight maps. I will just become one of many maps.

- US diplo, I don't like making diplomacy maps
I won't make a simple map of 2 guys hugging eachother, I'm looking for a topographic map :)

In short, I decided to make a map of El Salvador based on the municipios and a map of Indonesia based on the regencies and cities. Thanks for the idea's!

Sorry I'm late, but a map of Arrakis from the Dune books?

Actually, there is tons of possible names for bonuses and territores for Discworld map to be found. The thing is, that map would have to be made by someone who really read the majority of books.
(now sure on grammar here, can somebody correct me? thanks)
