This is where I will be posting on my next new project: Australia (With a qualifier). However, before I get started, I want to survey what people want to see out of an aussie map. So:

-How big? Know that, with me, I probably will not make anything bigger than 600 territories: I do not like to make, or try to make, huge maps. I would go up to, including, and perhaps exceeding that number a little bit. Or would you rather have a smaller, more strategic focused map?

-Any tiers of bonuses?

-Do you want me to do a Diplomacy based or Strategical based map?

-Do you want me to include city bonuses?

-Anything else you would like to see?

As large as you are willing to go. Diploable preferably.

Nah, and I appreciate you doing this.

You could do a post-melt like Antarctica, and make it a theme.

japan be quiet. (there are NO australia maps of quality, compared to the dozens of euro maps. Plus nothing would happen.)

Like I said, I will do a post-melt version series eventually, perhaps of every continent. A normal Australia is my next project, and I want to make a good high quality one for warlight.

I think I may make a diplo and strategic version for it...

big bonuses for the state, small bonuses for the regions, bonus for each big city and the capital of each state, as big as you can make it. and mostly important: include a territory with the name of the city i live in: armidale :D (its arguably the most important of the region)

I can help with the naming of places. Definitely make it diplomacy. Desert would be negative bonuses with higher bonuses around the edges and eventually negative in the middle except for a few outback towns like Alice springs, Uluru, Oodnadatta and Cooberpedy having positive bonuses.

Could do what MrOobling did, and just make both while really only making one map. The strategic version is not bad either.

I would prefer a map of a decent size for 1v1's and 2v2's.

If you mean 1:1 bonuses, they can be turned off like in guiroma. So I would not mind.

Australia will not be political based, that is for sure...

Australia isn't detailed is it:

The fact that most of those towns on the left probably have a population under 1,000 people doesn't matter.

Three random google searches gives populations of 4,861, 778 and 40! Turnips wins 0 dollars!

Wow, lord of turnips, that is quite the bit of information... tbh I was never expecting a response like this out of this thread... seems people really want a nice aussie map. Thanks!

Since many people are leaning towards the diplomacy map, it is unquestionable that I will make one. However, my favored style of play, strategical, really makes me want to make a strategy map... so I will make a version of both. I will make them as large as I can manage without it becoming too unbearable for me...

Expect a long-term project. I will probably work on a small map once in a while in order to break from the tediousness this project will present to me. I will, however, make it as big as I can bear. Since it is easier to create a diplo map from a strategic than a strategic from a diplo, you can expect the strategic version will come out first.
