im making a map and i tried to upload it to warlight but it says that i need to change some units to pixels. im using inkscape. do you know what i need to change to pixels and how to do it?
warlight sends me this message, There appears to be an issue with this svg file. The svg contains measurements that are in a format other than pixels (such as points, inches, centimeters, percents, etc.) WarLight only supports pixel measurements. Please configure your application to output the svg in pixels, and ensure that percentages aren't used anywhere.

Go to your document properties which you will find at the bottom of your 'File' tab. There you will probably see that the dimensions for your file are in 'mm' or something other than pixels, you would then have to change the dimensions to be measured in pixels, and might have to make the measurements a bit smaller to fit the 3300 by 2400 limit.

Okay if that starts happening, could you go to the view tab and check if anything in show/hide is unchecked, if so,check it. So what map are you making?

one more thing: i deleted a territory called Territory_2 and now if i try to call another territory Territory_2 it says that the ID exists even though i deleted the first territory which was called that

It's not really important to keep a territory order so you could skip territory_2 if you want, but i would suggest searching for the object with that id because you don't want extra territories you don't know about lurking around.

1. Edit > Find/Replace
2. Set Find/Replace parameters:
  • Find: Territory_2
  • Search in: Properties
  • Scope: All
3. Expand options and select parameters:
    General:
  • Exact match
  • Include Hidden
  • Include Locked

    Properties:
  • ID

    Object types:
  • All types

4. Click Find. If it exists, it should be found and selected.
5. On your keyboard, hit Escape, then hit Delete/Backspace.

Are you still unable to name a new path to Territory_2?

I would recommend using the pen tool or clicking ctrl+l to simplify. This will make smoother lines and remove the wobbles in the middle.

yeah, extra points makes it harder to offset bonus boundaries too (so the colors are not on top of each other). plus it makes the file smaller so it loads quicker.
