When you think of Christian supporter of gay marriage ( such as me ) ... most atheists either laugh there asses off or are confused
Me personally, I just think, "Good for you, you're on the path toward freethought." I see no reason to laugh, except perhaps in cheer or relief.
Just a wee bit of 'devil's advocacy':
God never advocated for outlawing things he thought were sinful.
Well .... Unless you consider like, a big chunk of the Old Testament. Ya know, with all them commandments and punishments for breaking them and stuff, including like, death er whatever. ;-)
He didn't scream bloody murder or hold protests
Well, there was that one time with like, the moneychangers er whatever. Oh, and supposedly he said he came not to bring peace but like, a sword or something. ;-)
How do you think Christianity spread quicker then any other religion? Because we didn't force others to see things our way, we tried to persuade them and if we failed after many trys then we prayed.
Might want to check your history on that one. There was that little matter of that Constantine fella making it the only legal religion in the Roman Empire er whatever, for example. ;-)
I have never seen any heterosexual males Set up a pride parade?
Homecoming parades? They have Kings and Queens instead of just Queens. lol Not strictly about sexuality (but then neither are gay pride parades), but the assumption is always heterosexual, never anything else, and it's certainly a 'pride' parade of sorts.
If they want to be considered normal don't set up massive parades and flaunt yourself to everyone. To be normal just fill in the ranks, dont obsess on your sexuality, and just act normal.
Define normal / acting normal.
They only have to 'flaunt' normality because they have been assumed to be 'abnormal' by the majority of people for so long.
*Not* having massively visible public parades got them nowhere for millenia. Having massive public exposure *does* help define what is considered 'normal' by many people.
