If you stick a small population of things somewhere and wait for a long time, then yes, you will find a new group of things that are well-adapted to the environment.

No, almost there but still wrong. However large a population of human, if you put them naked on Mars, i doubt you'll come back to a well adapted population ^^

edit: unless we consider the bacteria human would have bring with them, probably a few of them would have adapted well :)

i know, but you don't have to go to Mars to find inhabitable places for certain species. The whole concept of natural selection is about the ability to adapt to the environment. If a specie can't adapt, it dies out. Happened many times on earth through history

edit: and Conservative wasn't talking about neither of what we said.

Well i wouldn't say that. We have now a much better understanding of what each of us think, and we now have some new ideas to think about and scrutinize. As for everyone reading the conversation

I agree that they're time consuming, and depending on circumstances, might not be worth it, but when did you adopt this policy? like 2 days ago?

The difference between me posting something long and arguing in an off-topic debate are different though. For example that long 8 reasons not to vote for trump post I made was long...but I didn't have to keep going back to the link to respond really :P

Idk hopefully I can keep it going for awhile hahaha (I'll probably relapse knowing me though...)

Debating is fun and engaging but can be a bit obsessive, wich isn't very healthy. So having a break from it is certainly a good thing if it comes to that. I assure you i'm not going to keep it up at this level of commitement for very long. The US presidential campain doesn't help though...i find it so very interesting and it makes me want to talk about it.

Well I joined the party late... better get back to the start!

@Caleb

When you think of Christian supporter of gay marriage ( such as me ) most other Christians see a traitor

That is because you support sin. Does not warrant slanderous rabble like that from Christians however.

Why Christians are against it is because they believe it's a sin. Ok, I'm gonna level this out for Christians. According to holly scripture, Lust, unrightous vengeance, lying, are all Sins. It's also true that God sees all Sins equally.

Leviticus 18:22 says "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."
(for those who want to see the other translations, here you go http://biblehub.com/leviticus/18-22.htm)

Lust is never directly stated as being a sin, it is however a trait that CAN lead to sinful behaviour (Adultery,Covetness,Prostitution, etc...). Lying is also not a sin, "Thou shalt not bear false witness" does not entirely mean "Do not lie". All sins are equal, so then murder and homosexuality are seen equally by God.

In fact he went up against the high priests and challenged traditional Jewish morals such as an eye for an eye. What did Jesus do? He didt try to outlaw things he considered sinful, he went into communities, helping others and spreading the gospel through peace.

Pharisees*

"Jewish morales such as an eye for an eye"

^Not Jewish. That is the morales of Hammurabi (NOT A JEW).

Just because he did not outlaw them (even though he NEVER had any power whatsoever to do so) Jesus did not support any sin.

Jesus never spread the gospel... he was a jew, speaking to jews. The Apostles spread the gospel.

How do you think Christianity spread quicker then any other religion? Because we didn't force others to see things our way, we tried to persuade them and if we failed after many trys then we prayed.

No... Christianity spread faster then any other religion because Constantine stopped persecuting them and in the days when Romans wanted to be like the emperor (who just converted to Christianity) they all converted. Not to mention the forceful nature of Europe where wars were started because of disagreements within the church. (and for the forcing people thing... have you heard of the Holy Roman Empire? The bloodshed for people not believing, the crusades... and alot more.)

since all Sins are equally wrong then why should i treat this one different?

So we SHOULD treat it the same as murder!

@MrHymen

instead of what's in a crappy man made book.

Well I must agree with the man who shares the name with a part of the vagina! Why should we believe what people 2000 years ago said happened 2000 years ago! Instead we should believe what people in 2016 say happened billions of years ago! (That is sarcasm if you could not tell)

@Nogal

People who are proud of their country are stupid

I am a proud Virginian, you do not understand the attachment I have to this land, and or why I would die for this state.

@Eklipse

What bothers me more than anything is how LGBTs have become a super-protected class in society; and there's certain groups of people who are trying to enforce "acceptable" views regarding issues related to them. Anytime someone expresses disapproval of gay marriage, even if its in the most polite,rational way possible, there's a massive outcry and the public mob moves in to ruin their life and get them expelled from everything. It's really sick. For a movement that touts freedom many of the mainstream gay rights advocates have shown a lack of caring in regards for the freedoms of others. Examples? Aforementioned people getting fired just for having the "wrong" political view, attempts at forcing businesses to catering to gay weddings, and now even pastors can come under scrutiny for speaking out against gay marriage in their own churches.

AMEN!

@Hitchslap

Can't people respect my racist liberty? It sickens me how my rights to discriminate on people are being degraded

Let me quote Evelyn Beatrice Hall, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"

They should be treated as anti-gay bigot

People who say 'bigot' almost never ACTUALLY know what it means.

@GeneralPE

I would leave my church if they performed a gay marriage.

Amen, churches should not condone sin.

@Smedley

In the bible, Jesus healed a Roman Soldier's boyfriend.

No he did not.

@Caleb (again)

I agree with Varys, you are fence sitting... atleast you are not lying about being a Christian like Riku... I also will acknowledge that at least this shitstorm is not as bad as the one (on the same subject) that went on for 54 pages on our clan forums.

EYE FOR AN EYE WAS HAMMURABI. GET IT RIGHT.

The old testament's laws should still be followed, BUT as Jesus showed, the punishment should not be to stone gays to death.

1 Every single Christian who knows a thing or two about the bible is laughing these ass off at that statement

... I am not laughing... should I be laughing?

encourage someone out of sin, not act like an idiot and actively trying to ban a sin from practice

So we should legalize murder!

@Varys (and Caleb to an extent)

I agree with you mate, great debating skills.

1). It does speak against homosexuality in the New T.

I would like to back this up by saying that Paul goes against it in the very first chapter of Corinthians. Along with many other locations (mainly Paul's writings though)

3). You aren't a real Christian. Though admittedly, neither at 98% of professing Christians.

More like 60% (people above 18 that is)

@Pooh

I object to that! The context for that verse was a trap set by the pharisees, he was asked what the most important of the MANY MANY laws fromt he Old Testament (many more if you include the laws the Pharisees made up). If he did not answer that so cleverly he would have been arrested for heresy.

NOW TO THE BEST PART! AN OXYMORNIC (hypocritical) STATEMENT!

just go read the bible through

Also, The old testament is not Christian, its jewish.

The Bible includes the Old Testament mate XD

The old testament had nothing to do with Christianity. In fact, the only thing it really had related to Christianity was the prophecy of jesus.

"The old testament had noting to do with it! EXCEPT FOR THE FACT IT DID!" is what you just said.

Seriosly Caleb, that entire paragraph goes against

1.Itself
2.Yourself
3.The Bible

P.s. Hitchslap Bitchslapped you with scripture after that statement so hard I DID laugh unlike the statement on the commandments XD

The original Christians were the apostles right? the apostles and jesus appeared in the NT only right? well then since the first Christians appeared in the NT, isn't it logical to assume that's where it all starts?

That is the worst theory about Christianity I have heard since I listened to Tila Tequila explain how the Bible proves the earth is flat....

Everything you said after that is Fence sitting, Red Herrings, contradictory, or to stupid to warrant me to treat the comment with a response.

But I will back up everyone against you when I say that God and Jesus are an embodiment of each other. Jesus is God put in physical form. (which is why we have the trinity, The father, the sun, and the holy ghost... they are all the same thing)

I ignored the last 3 pages.

Everything Caleb said was unreasonable,contradictory, utterly senseless, oxymoronic, etc.

I also said that I would side with you (as a Christian) saying that Caleb is wrong on all accounts.
