Hmm, Looks like I will have to cut the celebrations short here.

Unfortunately, I believe I made a grim discovery which has mad eme to believe Buns has stalled to gain the 1v1 ladder trophy.

THOUGH one undeniable thing happened he surrendered at 2:15am the time after he received the trophy before hand. Just so this loss wouldn't effect his ratings so he can get the trophy.

So from that Incident I can't excuse Buns from Alhazi and tbh I feel this has once again been a showing of cheating and dishonesty from Buns. This is very sad to see and shows the players who we usually trust can do anything to get that trophy.

Buns is still a great player and deserved it. I'm sure he'll show us in the future that he did not need to stall to get the trophy.

He definitely deserves the trophy, but he did not deserve it this ladder run. I'm sure he can get to the 1st position without having to stall.

Looks like a busy week to me. Then again I play every game 2 days 20 hours every turn. I don't agree with your assessment Platinum. Turn 7 he still has Canada, and a border on Ant. Turn 9 he has a chance to steal Aus. It's not until Greenland is threatened/taken that this game is over. I think Buns was hoping he would be hesitant on Greenland and not hit it. (people have thrown like that before.) He surrenders after seeing Greenland broken. looks legit.

May I just add, I am not debating about the actual game, As I said this is highly debatable and to be honest should be treated as a side argument. Obviously Timinator decided to take this part on itself and ignore my other and possible main argument.

It isn't the actual game itself I'm concerned about and when I reviewed it tbh I did at first thought it was legit, What drives the suspicion and made me bluntly accuse Buns of stalling was when he surrendered the game literally after he got his trophy. If I get a reason to explain that I will kill my post. If he had surrendered before that trophy was given, He wouldn't have it simple as that.

He was definitely stalling.

He surrenders turn 13 in a game that was pretty much decided turn 7.

It was his 21st game to finish, he waited 25 hours to surrender it after winning game 20, long enough for the trophy to show up.

He took his last turn 12 hours after beating ppface, and then waited another 13 hours to surrender after the final turn was taken.

When he took the last turn frog had already taken that turn, so he immediately saw the results.

You telling me he needed 13 hours to decide he'd lost when he had 10 income and had just watched his opponent deploy 21 in front of his face?

While it was game 21 to finish, it actually started before 6 of his first 20 games.

Those all started after that game. And no, they didn't finish earlier because the games were shorter or because those opponents player faster than frog.

ppface was a 17 turn game, ppface had an average speed of 10 hours. Buns 5 hours.
Nagato 13 turn game, Nagato averages over 5 hours a turn, buns averages 16 minutes.
Ragnarok, 12 turn game, they both take 7 hour turns. Ragnarok's rating was high enough buns was willing to lose to him. Doing so likely raised buns rating rather than lowering it.
bbraw 12 turn game, both average under 5 minutes a turn.
12 turn game vs. wulf, both under 2 hours a turn.
hades, 11 turn game, both average 20-25 minute turns.

So, yeah, he totally averaged 22 hours one game, yet more than triple that speed in every other game without it being "stalling". It was just situational business, especially those 3 day turns near the end, I'm sure that explains exactly what was going on in his head.


Am I calling buns a bad player?

Nope.

But to pretend he wasn't stalling that game is willful ignorance on the part of people that like him rather than people looking at the game objectively.

Not to mention, he's still stalling vs. Dom365, and Alhazi, right now.
