No offense to everyone (or MoD) who doesn't study strategic gameplay (ladders & shit), but MoD honestly is only the best player right now in 3 templates (of course just my opinion):

- Strategic ME WR
- Guiroma 1v1 (debatable)
- French Brawl (not tested enough?)

Current: MoD, MotD, Timinator, Buns (lets be honest, he already is one of the best, he`s no longer an upcoming player), Gui. Also Sze, Gnuff, JSA and Summer but I don`t see a lot of activity from them lately, might just be me though.

Upcoming: Hades, JZ, QB, Peixoto, Oh, Nackickwind, Sultan, USA Biches

I know not all players in Upcoming are completely new, but they are players that have shown very good plays in the last couple of months

@Benjamin those are the only seasonals that he has done exceptionally well on. Look at the past 24 WGL tournaments and he has won most of them and a lot of those games are on newish templates or uncommonly played templates.

I think it definitely depends on the game type, and I would pretty much just repeat what's already been said. I think I'll emphasise ZeroBlindDragon as the best upcoming multiday player though. Watch out for that guy.

No chance is MoD going to be the best strat 1v1 player of the future. He hates the template since it has changed, and the template he actually does enjoy is no longer played much.

I think it's also airly obvious that sze is the best 1v1 player (1v1, not strat 1v1), his RT ladder rating of 2401 is wayyyyy ahead of anyone elses.

Yves (Gui) has a higher rating than sze in RT ladder.

Gui has a higher peak rating, lower current.

Gui is at 2320, but peaked at 2403. Sze is at 2401.

Gui's Mean though is 2669 as opposed to sze's being 2586.

Gui played 35 games though, sze 95.

Edit: Also the older players on the real time ladder have slightly inflated ratings due to the players that were on the ladder that they played against at the time. Now that there is a bigger spread and worse opponents even the best players and their ratings have dropped.

I agree MoD will not be the future best of Stategoc 1v1, which is the current 1v1 ladder template. If you look at the heading of what I said, I said Strategic 1v1 ME. Referring to the promotion relegation league and the old 1v1 ladder. That template I believe will remain his for the next few years.

There are wonderful players that dont play 1v1 or ladders. It's debatable to say who is better... but I think that "complete" players are those who are successful in almost every scenario...
