Seriously, can we fucking decide at once which templates we're playing in???

Sure we can, but now you blame only us for this mess. Don't forget it were the people here (in particular your own great leader) that pushed Chris into a premature publishment of a template list while we we still deciding on what tiebreaker to use.

I've wasted a lot of time trying to figure out....

If you want to reach the point where you can compete with the top tier players its never a waste of time to study new templates. They will learn you to adapt easier te new settings

Neh, I don't blame only you, everyone is to blame on this, and to be frank you're the only person trying to explain to the other players what's going on.

Whoever voted for the bad templates on the first place, whoever explained bad the voting rules or didn't understand them, and the time to finally publish the templates. As you said the mistakes could've been found before had the templates been published earlier.

But I do think it's frustrating. I just ask to please stop changing the templates at some point...

Gais, keep in mind this is a volunteer effort. If you thought dealing with unhappy/difficult to please customers at work was hard...just imagine if you weren't paid and the customers wanted the brochure before the product was finished being decided by a committee. :p

Seriously though, it sounds like things are settling, chillax. Last I heard there was something close to a month before the next Clan League was likely to start - no reason peeps can't practice templates over, especially if they want to be top notch. IF you don't like the templates, then afaik there is no reason you can't have a discussion with whoever ultimately votes (maybe with everyone???).

That being said, it does feel like more transparency/open communication would be good, though I know some peeps are pretty busy already.

Nothing like thankless volunteer work to make events end abruptly - (I should know, I've been there).

There should be tough rules. The deadline stated from the beggining.

If your votes come 2 minutes after deadline - sorry, they won't count.
If your votes are not formated in a way they should - - sorry, they won't count.

I am lazy but tried to find the rules of CL8. Would anyone be so kind and suply me a link?

+1 Sultan, that's what created the hole mess in the first place. When creating the tourneys, you should also put a deadline to join them; let the clan leaders police their players and have a zero tolerance rule.

Also, I need to make a question here, and then I promise I will stop being a pain in the ass.

French have complained faster, but we have not done all a matter. Chris just do that not so fast. Chris has also other things to do. I missunderstood the vote system and I apologize for this. Chris decided to change that after published this maybe he didn't see my message before, he has other things to do. But TeamGuns are right, it's a mistake and lead to a lot of frustration. Human mistake, not really important by the way.

But French Community doesn't really care of that. All my clan didn't really answer other thing that "let it go" when I talk to them about template votes. I have taken 20-30min of my time to vote this and give the list on time. But we didn't re-voted anything.

No one in FC knows Great Lakes before, and we did't get the best templates we wanted. Anyway, this give some novelty. Why not after all. Always play on the same things without being endangered by the change, it's not how we can progress.

Maybe FC will down in B, but we will give our best without complain because the process was fair. Please dudes. Stop to be a French heckler. If you have some "dreams" about this competition, come to help us to run it and don't be ungrateful.

Everyone could submit the template they wanted in time before votes, and every clans in A has voted. A clans was supposed to have the hability to vote for "the good templates". Some of us wanted novelty. Some other wanted their usual templates. So now here we are.

This is democraty. You have voted, or you didn't, but this is YOUR results. Deal with it. No need to insult anyone else. Blame yourself.

Deadlines are important yes. This is one of the core of the problem here. But FC respected deadlines and we didn't ask to change my mistake after seeing that. I just told about that.

The deadlines for lineups will be fixed very soon. But you will have time to take your decision.

EDIT: for rules, Chris get a google sheet, but I don't know the link.

Only 3 tournament max per players this season for your lineup. No doublon playing in different clans.

I think a lot of people is taking this too serious. This is a friendly competition that some players decided to run on their free time. They are not perfect and have had mistakes, so what? They are trying to do this the best they can and solve the problems that arise. Even professionals have mistakes (and in that case the complaints are more logical).
Let's just calm down and try to have fun when this starts :)

If I'm not mistaken there was a rule change about maximun tournaments per player and it changed from 4 to 3. Is this true? The "Rules" from page 1 arent stating that....

Please clarify and double check the rules :P

the rules from the preparation thread i linked a few posts back does clarify that. So yes it is true

So have been asking for an updated clan division list, when will I get it?

"No divisions ABC will now exist out of 7 clans. DEF will exist out of 6 clans. This evens it up and leaves room for 3 promotions from the lowest groups to speed it up for new clans

Top2 from both D divisions now promoted to C which seems more fair now we had room for it "
