The only biblical movie I liked in the last 5 years is "Killing Jesus".
@The Martian
"The Messiah" is sort of like an opera. It is just a bunch of music and people singing/repeating Bible verses in a weird and confusing manner... My school makes us see it every year.

Biblical Movies aren't really a big problem for me. I don't like or dislike them, except for two new ones:
Noah, and Exodus: Gods and Kings
Biblical movies are supposed to be accurate to scripture. And those two movies are about as close to following their sources as 300. Both of those are pretty much fantasy/action movies, just shoe-horning the Bible into it. Rock angels? Trained Hebrew slave armies?

Hebrew indentured servant armies... i believe i read evidence for that 5 years ago. Weird that's it all the rage now. They weren't really good, they were just high in morale.
It's really a justification for what really happened in exodus.

George Frideric Handel in the early 17th century wrote "The Messiah", but it was not a play. It was similar to an Italian opera and is performed in many churches and even on the radio all on the same day.
Back to the topic, the only biblical movie I hate is not related to the bible much... "Gods Not Dead"... Fuck that movie.
