I haven't seen anyone above the level of 59 so I was wondering if that is the max level limit

It doesn't seem to be any level limit, however, at every next level, the ammount of points needed to level up increases. So it gets harder and harder to level up again.

The highest level player is currentely level 65, alhazi. Check at https://www.warlight.net/Points to find the rest of the "top" list.

And just search on the forum, you'll find a level 60+ guy eventually...

There sort of is, in that the game creator sometimes has to do a few lines of code when someone attains a new highest level.

I seriously doubt they do Thomas. You're assuming each level has its exp required hardcoded, which is almost certainly not true. A formula makes far, far, more sense than an array.

Software bugs that haven't been found after all this time would tend to be in updates, but also in places that are rarely used.

The mere function of displaying L66 in the upper right hand corner of our screen is a simple enough function for sure, but one that is also rarely used.

Don't run for Level 100 too fast... triple digits... bound to be a few lines of code needed for that. :)

No, zero lines of code for that. The only thing that'd require hardcoding would be if Fizzer were to add new things to unlock at the new levels, not to display the #, or determine the exp needed for the level.

How is the XP set? Is it set by formula though or is it random? (I've honestly never even looked into it)

(If it's formula then there won't be a level cap, and even if it was hand picked, he's probably added numbers up to level 100 or 200 just so he doesn't have to worry about it)

Bugs exist, sure, but you're overestimating the complexity of code needed to calculate exp and display numbers. The grey box that shows your level is already set to scale due to not all accounts having the same number of characters in their names, adding an extra digit to the # will do nothing.

Um, he has had to add things like "defeated a level 57-65 player" in patch notes. The levelling up itself may be automated but things assosiated with it aren't.

Fizzer could add prestige, unlocking a 'Prestige Ladder' and perhaps at P3 include bomb cards or commanders.
