omg, that pink one played even worse than you... do all gold players play like this? Then if I started I would be like Trillionaire!

Sorry if I'm a massive noob, but couldn't Purple have spared one from North Africa for two turns to put into West Australia, then take the Australia bonus? Pink consistently left two survivors after each attack.

I really like what you did in turn 24. That was the turning point of the match I think.

Sorry Hades, but if you were in that position against me instead of against ostertoaster, you would have lost your Africa bonus. Here's how:
(Pink) v (Purple) (8+4=12 in Brazil)(+3 to central America ready to complete card) v (North Africa: 2+8=10) takes West US for card piece (1 mobile troop left) (12v10=11v10=5v3) Pink plays card (5+11=16v3+8=11)(15v11=8v2) Pink's troop moves back to Central America (8+7=15v2+8=10)(14v10=8v2)(Pink's troop moves to Venezuela (8+7=15v2+8=10)(14v10=8v2)(Pink's troop moves to Brazil (9+7=16v2+8=10)(15v10=9v1) (9+7=16v1=8=9)(15v9=9v0) Pink breaks North Africa

I've had this happen a few times. Either A) you try and outlast your opponent (sometimes they will get aggressive and start expanding) or B) you get that other income (Australia), knowing exactly where your opponent is, and try and trick him somehow
Breaking NA shouldn't have been the game. Sure the odds weren't in your favor after, but it wasn't a loss if you get AUS. He will start expanding (and losing troops from his big army doing so), so you might be able to equal out.
So no it wasn't a stalemate, you gave up when you still had options.

no, unfortunately, I thought about it, but if I'd spared 1 troop it would be 15 vs 9, he'd kill 8 and leave me on 1, I'd kill 6, leaving him on 9. and then he'd break north africa next turn.
-> even if you hit with 1 first order ? (didnt do the computation, but changes lots of things sometimes)
