The original Clan leader's account name was Jack Wolfe (his pen name for a time). He was an author from Minnesota. His original intention was for the clan to basically become a "creativity center" on NationStates, then Warlight, where if its players had any good book ideas, he could help them try to solidify and develop them, and perhaps help to even publish them. Of course, this being a strategy game and all, he did not find too many people interested in the idea. So it became a small group of very strong players banded together by an author. It was a fairly well known group on warlight- before clans were official, so a long time ago. Currently, there are only three players in the clan who remain from that time- [FCC] Deniz, [FCC] Spudnik 2.0, and Sinistral Gamer- old players of the game who are not seen very often. Of those, Deniz is probably the most consistent. Spudnik is now risking removal from the clan due to inactivity. And Sinistral Gamer- Who knows?
In any case, that is a bit of insight from a historical perspective of the clan. The clan was dying when I first came to it, and when I came back in December from my hiatus, it was basically dead. So I went about the process of trying to revitalize. A lot has happened since then, this being the most recent event.
With that in mind, I am reforging the clan to being dual purpose- I have new vision of what this clan will become- a strategic and map development focused clan. Both divisions will be headed by the master of the sword and the master cartographer, respectively. The master of the quill will take input and give ideas on how to improve the clan, and the Eldar will be the recruitment head. Not sure if we need two VPs, but this is all preliminary, and subject to change... who knows? I have some people I am extremely grateful for currently helping to rebuild the clan according to this vision, and I am extremely thankful for it.
In any case, that about sums it up. This issue that popped up is beginning to prove to be the catalyst to bring change to the clan, and give it new substance and form. I am exited at what it may become!
