I would also like to point out that everyone seems to be getting caught up with the prices and numbers. At the end of the day, you can have the best team or the most money. None of that really matters. It is about the championship and you need points!! Any strategy which will get you the most number of points at the end of the season is a good strategy. Of course, you do not want to only focus on the short-term and build towards the future as well.

Keeping players happy is also important. I have a few things planned for season 2, which will give players some more control. An unhappy player can put in a transfer request etc(more on that later). This is where the main challenge lies for all managers.

I think a general tendency for some of the clubs have been heavily undervaluing the players. This has led to the situation we're in now, where a few clubs compete for a couple of top players, but will have to pay some rather ridiculous prices for them, whereas the teams who bid high early on had to pay less for what some would consider better players. This could both be seen as a problem with the economy: Base prices should perhaps have been higher to better reflect on the value of the players, but I'm more inclined to blame it on the managers not being familiar with the format yet, leading to some managers not bidding as much as they perhaps should have (or perhaps some of them just look further into the future and think about their economical situation for the seasons to come).

@Markus, motd said that the base prices were intentionally set below the players' true value, since he wanted to make sure players got selected by someone.

Absolutely no tier 13 players will get selected unfortunately. There's just too many players and too few slots.

I kind of thought I might not get bought, but I think some teams could have done well to buy me for strat ME as a budget option - they might have players already that can play strat 1v1 as well or better than me, but those players might be better served on other templates as well.

I can play it as well as a lot of the people that cost a lot more than me.

Made it to semi-finals, lost to motd, made it back to the finals, lost to motd again :/ Had the second game won till being too aggressive on the final turn.

On the way to the finals beat Jeff and Motoki, both more expensive than me in managers league, in losers bracket beat awesomeguy, also more expensive than me in this league.

No one wants to pick a noob who Boston Triples everything though.

That for I got really cheap, but not bad team. Also I saved my money for next Season
