I've never been a fan of pop music, and generally J-pop does zero for me, but I really like a couple of acts that are J-pop crossed-over with genres you just wouldn't expect, heavy metal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIKqgE4BwAY), and death metal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUrkKOpNaVE). And I'm not really into metal either. But the mix of the two is so incongruous, and yet it actually works. It's hilarious and ridiculous, but just fun, too, especially Bucho from Death Rabbits.
