C'mon. Now that some of us are paying for this, can't you implement a feature to get rid of players that have dropped out of the game in 30 day boot time tournaments? Not to mention the ridiculous "never boot" tournaments. People ask you about these constantly, and while you've always been good on other features, you're silent on this.
I'm not bitching, I'm saying PLEASE.....

First off, there's no such thing as a "never boot" tournament. There used to be, but this was fixed a long time ago and they're all gone.
Second, I don't determine boot times - that's up to the creator of the tournament.
Now, if the tournament creator speaks up and says, "Oops, I accidentally set this boot time wrong." that's one thing. But if you join a tournament, what authority do you have to override the tournament's settings?
If the tournament creator wants his tournament to have settings A, and one of people who joined the tournament wants the tournament to have settings B, who wins?
The creator has to win - they're they one who created it. If you let anybody request setting changes on a tournament, the bigger tournaments would be chaos as settings changed every day, left and right, to suit anyone's particular desires.
If the creator of the tournament wants his tournament to have a 30 day boot time, I'm going to respect their wishes. If you don't like the settings, don't join the tournament.

i agree with randy on the issue, but this 30 day boot tourney is crazy, especially since im pretty sure almost the entire other team has quit the site since then, and we're going 5v2. I wish there was setting where first turn has a boot time of say 3 days, and then every other turn has a boot time of 10 days, so you make sure everyone is still on the site.

Randy, I have a game entitled Most Epic Game Ever...which has been going on for over a year and still on the first few turns. Were currently on like 100 plus days since the last turn. This game is one of the ones without boot times, and those of us left would love it to finally end.
What do we need to do to make it go away...we all share a special bond over this rather terrible warlight experience, but were also ready to move on and forget we had ever heard of the 'most epic game ever' ... please help

Sorry, thats not the link...I'm not sure how to make a link to a specific game. The link I posted simply brings you to your own multiplayer screen. Could someone please let me know how you post a game?

Go into Settings in the game. The link to the game is on the left, in the middle of the screen.

Randy made a retroactive change to all Never Boot games and made it 100 days for instances like this. It helped me get rid of a game that was stuck on my list. You might want to take another looks at the game and see if you can boot now (you mentioned it being over 100 already)

I agree with Randy on this one. I have just stayed clear of ridiculous boot settings to avoid situations like this that would otherwise make me frustrated. At least it's 30 days and not 100 right?

Holy crap am I glad I checked out this thread.
I joined a game last year with a group that ended up being brand new to Warlight, that promptly bailed and never resurfaced.
The games been stuck on Turn 0 for almost a year.
Never been so giddy to boot . . .

Yeah, but the problem is it's a 5 on 5 game. 2 players surrendered, 2 were booted. But the 5th seems to think it's funny to make his move every 29 days and 23 hours.

What's funny is that the 5 that will eventually 'win' will just have to go through this same process next round, probably in 2 years after the same process evolves in another game.
There is no winning. Those quitting early are the true winners. Actually, those who declined the tournament are the ultimate winners. They had the chance to be perpetually in waiting and passed on the experience.
Similar to how tournaments can no longer be real time games, tournaments should have a hard cap on the boot timer. It just makes sense for a 5v5 tournament. 30 days is 'extremelly' extreme for a single turn. The tournament will be about who didn't quit. In 5 years.
