I'm pretty sure you were able to be on top positions because nobody played but bots at that point...

(most of the skins and Square, Macrophage, Circle, Ogar, Helper, perhaps some more, are bots. It's easy to get mass from them.)

My strategy is that the people I recognize from warlight are all on a team, and I stay Medium sized (200-300) and split on people who got "virused" and then I feed a warlight player. Death is harsh, but he is kinda right, you gotta do more than split and run around.
