I don't see why he has to. Did he know them personally? Probably not in a good way, if he did. Were they counter-productive to what he was trying to? Yes. Does anyone care that Nancy Reagan died? No.
I for instance, don't think capitalism is all bad, there's many things I like about it and that are very necessary for human societies. But capitalism for itself is dangerous and must be regulated, in order to prevent crisis and accumulation of wealth for the top.
Regulated capitalism is high socialism.

They can be for legalising a few things, but overall, conserves want to illegalise more than legalise.

No, a liberalist can be close to the middle, but saying a liberalist is a libertarian is naught. Liberalists want more public spending, libertarians want less. What I use is a square, I divide it into 4 broad corners: Conservative (NE), Low Social (NW), Liberal (SW), and Libertarian (SE).
