The reason triplepick is risky is that if opponent find you, you get screwed. Imagine if in this game your opponent will pick near you (e.g. Central Russia is very efficient in this configuration) and the rest of his picks in NA. Then when you would meet him, he can develop further without problems, but your development is blocked and he will overplay you easily just by income. Not to mention the possibility that he can break one or more of your bonuses. Remember, to break bonus is way easier than to complete, because you need to conquer single territory. Also, in first turns you need to finish your starting bonuses asap, but for latter stages develop the habit to complete one bonus at a time. Reason for this is that you need less armies to finish bonus when you will meet your opponent.

Well done on the blockade and not going after wastelands. Like the others said, triple picks are risky. I like one easy, safe pick and two near each other with good expansion/income, but I'm not great so I can't really say. I'm too lazy to look through individual orders, but I'm sure someone can help you with bean counting

I don't buy that that was his first 1v1 game. Not for a minute.
It wasn't played perfectly by any means, but making 6 picks, expanding properly with 3v2's, using a blockade to close off a front, etc. this is not the type of game that is someone's first game. It is a smurf account.
