Migrants landing on Greek islands will be deported within days, under deal drawn up by Angela Merkel"Turkey deal is only way to stop migrants arriving in Europe", Merkel warns.Germany's Chancellor, the one who has been encouraging hundreds of thousands of migrants to exploit the fact that there is a war going on in Syria and Iraq to come to live in Europe, has had the audacity to try to force a deal upon Greece whereby all migrants landing in Greece are now returned to Turkey.
The new deal, which Merkel has deemed "necessary" to slow the flow of migrants which has been overburdening Balkan states the past few months and has caused the collapse of Schengen, is currently being fast-tracked through the Brussels bureaucracy, and will include the provision of a 20 million-Euro per month budget for EU border staff, 6 billion-Euro in aid for Turkey and the inclusion of Turkey in the freedom of movement of peoples with the EU.
Refugees, who have often paid criminal gangs thousands of pounds to make the crossing, are understandably not amused.
