I believe a topic of discussion is appropriate for this event. Is this intended to be a full merger (meaning AWF and Illuminati would be disbanded) or a partial one? I notice several prominent staff members from Illuminati, such Miles Edgeworth, have remained there. I'd really love to hear more about the merger from the founders of Hydra.

Maybe this news was meant to be official later on, but seeing the clan Hydra popping up next to several players made me very curious!

I heard about this in a chat with Ben a week ago. At first I thought "Why do they need this?" and then I thought "Oh shit this is bad for my clan" and then "Hey, that means if we get #3 in D instead of just #2 then we can promote" and then "what does this mean for us in the long term?" but then I went back to "Why do they need this?". Now I'm like "lulz who cares?"

@ZBD all I know is that Illuminati will not be "dead" per say but that all the players in my clan will (probably) transfer over to the new clan today/tomorrow. I know nothing about what's happening to AWF at this point though, you'd have to ask Ben for more info there

The same is happening with AWF, it will be emptied. Both clans will be empty (except one managing account) however they wont be dead forever. Just their current incarnations will stop. They could be revived at a later date by a third party.

I'm not really sure that anyone from AWF or Illuminati really thought it was that news worthy. lol. We've never exactly been ones for public spectacle you know.... (well, at least not recently. lol)

Well when you are having struggles with member counts and activity (Jz leaving, etc), you have to either change your clan style or get more members quickly. Both of the leaders of the clans like larger clans as far as I can tell, and we have the players to provide for them, and vice versa.

The clan was made less than 3 days ago, so we expect everything to settle within a few days.

What are the two clans going to do for clan league?

Very valid point, Plat. Was wondering that too... I imagine they'll compete under the names Illuminati and AWF despite being nominally part of the same clan?

Let Hydra represent AWF + ILLUMINATI and put them in the D division, I would really find it strange and pointless if AWF + ILLUMINATI were to compete in ghost clans..

Plat, last I checked you weren't part of the people running Clan League. I've already spoken with Great Expanse as to the details of the merger and it's already being discussed. We'll probably release the info as soon as ChrisCMU is online to help solve a couple issues regarding the divisions.

@Kenny I don't think I really need to be a part of this, but if you have any problems I have a solution/idea for all of this - you already have my skype I believe so you can contact me there if necessary.

@Plat, you do have a right to ask questions, but you don't need to get involved with something that is still under discussion

i like your point system.

I'm still unsure how I feel about the point system. I think I like it. How it's named, I mean. Headhunting, like with a hydra means you keep cutting off its heads, because you are trying to kill it. So we are giving ourselves trophies (heads) from fighting the creature that is our namesake?

But then, every time you cut off a head, the beast as a whole becomes stronger, so it's like we're training?

Also when I think of the word "headhunting" I think of recruiting people. Which I'm sure we are not going to do. Though if I'm not mistaken, Illuminati has just a little experience with that.

Overall I like how it works and I like how it's named, I just keep overthinking it.

lol half of us dont know exactly whats going on xD maybe they are discussing on skype, im out of town so unable to access skype till i get home so idk. i have nothing against the merger. i trust GE and the others are doing whats best for the clan. as for the point system im unsure how i think about it lol, its different so itll take a sec to form an opinon.

What will happen if some of the clan members don't want to move?

@muddlezoom they will be removed from the clan if they don't leave.

I dislike the name Headhunting since it makes no sense in regards to the points system. As to the points system its overly complex. I prefer a general ranking system probably based on the ladders. At the very least lets get rid of the headhunting name.

@Doc Koala, if you have a smartphone then you have access to skype from it wherever you are (nothing sensitive is ever discussed in the clan chat so government surveillance isn't an issue).

As of right now, people have mostly been moved over or retired from the clans. The chats are more or less set up, a general structure for management has been decided on, inter-clan events should be starting soon like a P/R league, internal ladders and Clan League prep.
