seriously , just type in "blacklist" on the search forum results , why do people publicly shame others just to blacklist?

Well, Warlight appears to be the personal dumping grounds of every random thought for some posters, so I can see why people get blacklisted often.

How much spam do you want people to tolerate? Some people actually only come to the forums to talk about Warlight itself...I know that is shocking.

At which point did OP mention forum spam? He said that there are loads of posts about blacklist/blacklisting, ergo public shaming. Nothing about spamming forums.

He didn't, but many people blacklist for spam (and post about it). Others do it for in game reasons.

Either way, what is wrong with calling it out? If people just blacklist and don't say anything, then other people will suffer the same results that caused their blacklisting.

We, as a community, must self police and let the rest of the community know what we tolerate/do not.

There is nothing inherently wrong with publicly shaming an individual for aberrant behavior, as Chris said that is a mechanism for a community to preserve and define itself.

Personally I think that whining about someone else's behavior is usually petty, but occasionally justified. If it is not justified the OP should be mercilessly mocked, as I have observed taking place. I wish we could blacklist people from the forums, that would indeed be useful.

It is just funny when people blacklist others beacuse they broken alliance,used bad leanguage or booted others.

People blacklist players they don't want to play with, more people should blacklist players, then they will only play with players who don't annoy them, shaming is usually pointless, I only do it if the host has rigged the game in a non-obvious way, but rarely do people care.

Most people are happy to play anything, even if it's rigged or even with bad players, they just surrender when they stop having fun. But then most of these players don't use the forums either, only the whine-bags use forums. So I think in the end it's the perfect place to whine about having to blacklist a player for x reasons. If you don't like it, just don't read them! :)

I won't send mails to people only to check if they have me on their blacklists...

You don't need too actually send it. If you try it on someone who's blacklisted you and someone who has not you'll see what I mean.

I still think there should be a way to see everyone who blacklisted you (in a single click). Maybe it would be an eye opener to some.

Do you still get tins of spam, and does anyone really care if another player blacklists them.

It would be fairly amusing however it'd likely just cause more arguments.

Well, if there was a list/count attached to each person's profile, then you could have filters on games for that. Like total people blacklisted you less than 50 (just as an example). So you could pre-screen trolls from your games/tournaments even though they are not on your black list.
