There has been a lot of ideas how to deal with trolls and cheaters that ruin our games. I think we all agree there is no ultimate solution to this plague. All we can do is to blacklist double account users over and over again.

I would like this thread to serve as stocks* for this kind of criminals. Any player who comes across an offender can publish his name here so that we all can see him and blacklist at will.

Of course, posts like: "blacklist the player *** because he's a cheater and I dont like him" are unacceptable. You must provide us with a proof of the crime (such as a link to the game where he cheated, a screenshot of the chat where he offended you etc. - everything that can make the violation evident).

If we make it work, troll will have to think twice before risking being excluded from games by a vast community of players. If you like the idea, you can start right away.


*For those not familiar with medieval history. Stocks: a former instrument of punishment consisting of a heavy timber frame with holes in which the feet (and sometimes the hands) of an offender could be locked.

Blackjack, it's not the trolls I care about - it's the community. Look, although I've never met this guy from Taran's link (actually https://www.warlight.net/Forum/143589-stop-cheating inspired me to crate this thread), I know I don't want to see him in my games. This thread is nothing more than a communication platfrom that helps spreading information more quickly. Thanks to that, I believe, the amount of dumb people ruining good games will be slightly lower.

Even if they're not the same person, such teaming is unecceptable in FFA games. My girlfriend and I often play Warlight games sitting in one room, but we never team up when we're not allowed to. Also, before the game starts I warn others that another player is my friend irl and ask if they're ok with that. That's what I call a fair play.

1. Someone else's game. Evilo surrendered turn 1, the other players voted except for Johnny. Then, Johnny boots and collects easy points.

2. Someone else's game. Evilo spams the chat

3-6. Evilo and Johnny spamming the chat. There could be much more than 3 screenshots of that.

I personally just blacklisted them because it is annoying to have in the game. The Africa game also had them drawing out the game about 20 minutes before we eliminated them. Their teammate decided being booted was better than being in the game. You might be fine with all this, though. Your decision in the end.
