Hello, this will be my first official large tournament. I have a concept for a series of Warlight tournaments to be played like a FIFA world cup. There will be prequalifiers to decide which 3 people represent each country, Qualifiers to decide who moves on to the elimination bracket, and finally, the elimination bracket.

Prequalifiers (1v1)
For the prequalifiers, up to 8 people who want to represent their country will be playing a very fast round robin tournament. The top 3 ranked people in that tournament will be representing their country in the world cup.

Qualifiers (3v3)
Each of the 32 teams representing their respective countries will be randomly placed into qualifying groups A through H, where a round robin tournament will be played in each of them. Each group will have 4 teams in them. The top 2 finishing teams in each group will move on to the 16 team knockout stage. The losing 2 teams are out of the tournament.

Knockout Stage (3v3)
The surviving 16 teams of 3 will play in a single-elimination tournament. The winning team of this bracket is the winner of the Warlight World Cup. The winner gets bragging rights, saying their country is the best at Warlight in the world.

At most 256 people will be needed, at least 96. Spread the word throughout the games you are in, lets fill this thing up! Templates are yet to be selected, and will be done by a small committee of players that will be assembled in a mail thread.
