How is it hypocritical to call out Platinum for willfully and repeatedly misinforming people?

Plat may be young and like a little annoying brother at times who we all in 101st take the piss out of but at the end of the day he does a great job of leading 101st behind the scenes. He's turned 101st from an out of date inactive clan to an active, fun and competitive clan that has really strong bonds with each other. In my opinion, Apollo would be proud of 101st to this day, if he were around. JSA leader of Lynx whom we have strong ties with, certainly is proud of us, so no reason Apollo wouldn't be either.

Fast forward through the next couple of months and the following things happen:

- Benjamin628 gradually leaves his leadership of 101st and goes back to just AWF
- Platinum fails to make any real headway with 101st
- Platinum develops a reputation as an asshole

101st has evolved far beyond what Apollo and I expected. If you know the history of 101st, you know how 101st has lacked activity since Lynx split off to form an elite clan. We've brought in multiple people to try to lead 101st to more activity but none had any real effect. 101st nowadays is possibly the best place for players to learn and improve their skill, and among the most active clans that are interested in strategy. Platinum has turned 101st from a place with virtually no activity into a thriving and very active community. He has done more for 101st than any player has (with the exception of Apollo).

I'm not going to say Platinum is a perfect guy. He gets in more arguments than he should and gets too emotionally involved at times. I don't always agree with his decisions on how to run 101st. But I can honestly say he is a good guy, and a very strong clan leader, and he has done an exceptional job with 101st. To say Apollo would not be happy with what 101st is right now is ignorant. I imagine if Apollo had decided to stay active on warlight, this is almost identical to what 101st would be like with him leading. The only thing I could imagine Apollo changing is adding a roleplaying section to 101st, but with all the new roleplaying clans, there is a strong possibility he would not have added one either. Either way, he would be very pleased with what Platinum has done.


I personally have not really seen Platinum bashing CORP. I'd love to see some of the things he has said about them. He seems to respect CORP from what I've seen honestly. Personally attacking him in this thread was a bit unnecessary.

I had some reservations when Plat invited me to 101st because of his apparent poor reputation on the forum threads, but I have enjoyed my time in 101st and found that Plat is actually a good guy. He incites petty arguments, to be sure, but if you are arguing with him, you're giving into the pettiness too. Go back to your clans like our mothers have sent us to our rooms and chill out.

It's literally the same line people throw about DARKLORDS.

I'm personally not invested in this enough to actually care what you think or dig up Plat's statements, so if you (for some reason) care, you can run a query on WL/Forum yourself.

Really? From what I've seen, Plat bashing CORP seems to be a personal hobby of his. Just search through some of the forums from where Plat posted comments. They may not be in every single one of his posts, but they occur frequently enough to call it a typical Plat behavior.

Personally I found it funny when I realised that each other were promoting competitor clans to noobs in a troll way. I only saw jokes there, nothing rude or insulting. Just sayin'

With all due respect, that's not an assessment you should trust yourself to make after admitting that you've missed the context of the conversation- that, in fact, you don't even think it's worthwhile to follow the context and have missed behavior so common that others literally consider it a salient trait for Platinum.
