Now that the libertarian party officially has over 3 members and is allowed to operate, I think that we need to write a platform. If you are a libertarian throw in your suggestions. Here are mine:
1. Ending Government involvement in marriage
2. Ending abortion
3. Providing a modest tax cut for everyone by getting rid of unnecessary/liberty impeding government programs like:
a. Department of education (there is no need for federal involvement in schools, it should be left to local and state governments) b. Environmental protection agency (People/businesses should have the right to harm the environment) c. Federal Communications commission (Exists only for impeding liberty by literally dictating what can and can't be said publicly) d. Food and drug administration (Exists only to disrupt the free market) e. All welfare programs (exists to disrupt the free market)
4. End ALL government prohibitions on drugs

Let's leave abortion to the states. Also, I have a fifth point.
5. End the war on terror, withdraw all troops from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania. 5a. Cut Military spending by 90% 5b. Shut down the NSA

A strong military is necessary for protecting the citizens, but to be honest 10% of our current spending would likely still be considered "strong".
I maintain that every child has a right to live, and an abortion is the ultimate abridgement of that right. If a majority of the party members are in favor of removing it from our platform I will, but for now it stays in.

Darn it, join the Free Group, we need two more members.
Foreign/criminal policy: *Cut military spending by 100%, it doesn't need funding for a few years, since it's been overfunded so much for such a long time. Cut all military branches except Shore Watch and Air Defence. *No torture, at all, in any circumstance. It's relatively ineffective and it's antigeneven. *Get out of all wars that America is in. *Put sanctions on all countries in the Middle East, all them are doing terrible things.
Immigration policy: *Open borders, disband the Border Patrol, anyone is free to come in from Mexico or Cuba. No such thing as an "illegal immigrant", end all work visas - anyone can work. *In votes, everyone can vote. Noncitizens can vote, noncitizens from other countries can vote. A president should be best for 7,200,000,000 folk, not 5% that. *Immigrants do not have to learn English, but take out non-English translations on government stuff. *Make citizenship mostly honourary.
Social policy: *For-life. *For gay civil unions, but let the faith's clergy handle whether to make a gay marriage legal. Also, let the faith's clergy ban anyone they want from marrying in their clergy, whether it be atheists, heterosexes, or Chinese. The government should not trample on institutions of faith, but apatheist civil unions will work as a marriage in every way legally. *For letting any business deny customer/not hire based on any criterion they want. The government shouldn't interfere in private business.
Environmental policy: *If a national park is making profit, keep it as is. If it's not, allow more public access. If it's still not making profit, then allow mining/logging. If it's still not making profit, then disband the park and sell the land. *GMOs legally must be labelled if selling them. *Clean renewable energy is the answer to energy independence, not more petrol digging. Incentivise clean energy.
Economic policy: *Totally rid welfare. *How much a business pays its workers, and any disparity there is not business of the government (rid minimum wage). Businesses should never be mandated to do something from the government. *Cut some public spending to lower national debt.
Home policy: *Require checks for buying a gun. Do not sell to loons or former violent crimers. *Set time limits for American Congress members. *Allow suing anybody for any grounds you want.
Healthcare policy: *Install a big healthcare system, so that noone has to pay for basic health services anymore (but for more advanced ones that aren't life-threatening/you want premium care, pay up. This is how it works in Belarus, great system). *Mandate vaccinations for contagious or deadly illnesses, and make other vaccinations free, but by choice. *Legalise all drugs, free everyone in gaol for drug offences.
Electoral policy: *End gerrymandering. *Mandate photographic identification to vote.
Scientific policy: *Mandate evolution being taught in all schools. *Greatly lower the spending on the space programme until debt is way lower.

Perhaps you should join the Libertarian party, as besides the whole Gay civil unions thing (Libertarians are in favor of getting rid of government involvement in marriage altogether), our platforms honestly seem pretty similar.

Nobody should have to pay for basic healthcare This is very much not libertarian. Libertarians hate public spending.

Mm, are the Libertarians for healthcare? No, that's a nasty big government program. We only like private health insurance. EDIT: It seems there are factions in the libertarian party...

Considering this is mock election is based out of America they are the stance of socialists, however, yeah they're not supported by every socialist just like not every conservative supports putting references to God on currency, statues, etc. Yes! Finally Paugers said something I can agree with entirely lol. I didn't post strictly "Socialist" viewpoints that adhere to say, Lenin or Marx. I'm going for the more modernised outlook and general left-wing agreement that people have. The points I made were general, and I'm not trying to define the party. I'm just giving a very general outlook on the type of socialism at least I believe in. It's not too extreme, and yes it is modelled far more off of social-democrats like Sanders & Corbyn than traditional socialists. Albeit, it is the "mainstream socialism" if you want to call it that.

The Democratic Party urges all members of the left to join the Democratic Party under a united banner. If we stand divided, we cannot win. If we stand united, we can secure a more liberal future.

C'mon, join Free Group. We were voted as number 1 pick amongst those under 18 (probably since we are for making school by choice: a student that doesn't want to learn is wasting everyone's money, makes it worse for other students, and won't really learn).

Under that scenario, Libertarians actually win, because:
Under the rules of the electoral college, someone needs 270 electoral votes to win, or a majority. Since nobody gets this, the election goes to the house of representatives, where each state gets one vote. Here is the breakdown of who won the most states:
Socialists: 10 states
Republicans: 11 states
Libertarians: 22 states
Democrats: 7 states
So, It's looking good for libertarians :)
