Strategic 2v2 Settings except:
Random Teams to make 2v2. Light Fog. Local Deployment. Maybe infrequent airlifts (every 7-8 turns?) +1/0/-1 Bonuses Randomized

random teams would be interesting, like the 4 ffa idea but setting up teams, and since the games are created with people at your rating level, it would work!!! but i dont think local deployment should be used for another season

I think perhaps what Chris meant was to have all 4 players on the same skill level (within a bracket).
This could be accomplished by levels at the beginning until ratings come out, and then by ladder rankings.
Obviously auto-teams so who knows who gets who, but start with all 4 with the same relative experience &/or expertise.

Levels aren't an adequate measure of skill, merely activity. dead piggy and I are the same level but I've yet to ever beat him in a game. :P

I am a big fan of this season's settings. I would make some interesting changes and do a rerun.
Local deployment Normal fog Add an airlift card, every 7th turn sounds about right. Cornucopia of delay and priority cards: one of each every other turn. Makes for interesting auction-type decisions: is getting priority here worth burning 1 card? 3 cards? 7 cards?
