There are many excellent Warlight competition brands (such as Clan League, WGL, Promotion/Relegation League, WSOW or the young Manager League, etc.) beside the official ladders. So we have many-many champions.

What do you think, is it possible to create a good enough Warlight World Championship system to determine the one reign Warlight World Champion?

If yes, what would be the best possible format for it?

I know, the best would be if the players would play 1000+ 1vs1 (or 2vs2, 3vs3 too) games on many templates with different settings, but this is not possible.
But maybe there is a format which is not perfect but good (and useable) enough for this purpose.

Yes, I think too that the WSOW is the best present 1vs1 series (because the reasons you wrote plus it's flexibility)
However, there is a few problems with it.

It is too long and not enough intensive.
When I write not intensive, I mean e.g. face to face best of 11 fights would be more exciting than parallel tournaments with difficult outcomes, plus the series was (first 2 seasons at least) not promoted enough (and not only the joining phase but even the running phase, like Pushover analyzations in Prom./Rel. League or Great Expanse's ones in the Manager Leauge).

And the main problem is that many good players did not join or left the series after a few games (maybe because of the issues above).

Btw, this is the most important thing imo, that most of the good players accept the series and willing to play (without that it can't be a valid World Championship).

I'm guessing this a reaction to the dislike in my Warlight World Championship? I know that does contain most of the best players in Warlight, right? And that thing is not easy to win, as you suppose.

Well, if I win that tourney (btw I need 'only' 2 (or 3 if dreuj beat me first) more wins) I will be the Warlight World Champion? Hmm, I do not think I (nor dreuj or other winner) would deserve that title, because this winner 'only' win a (really hard) tourney, but for a World Champion title need more imo. For a LEGITIMATE World Champion title, I mean.

You requested some ideas for the next World Championship, this is why I wrote my thoughts. And I only open this thread because this topic (Warlight World Championship system) is a very interesting for me.

Btw I experienced, that the community are not interested at all in this topic :( I write about the (most of) good players... I think ok for them the present situation, now can be more champions, everybody can say he is one of the best if achieved one (or more) good results (or even if achieved nothing :D )
Not to mention about Fizzer's attitude to this competitive topic (I think he hates it :D ), I am sure never will be any official Warlight World Championship :(

I think it would have to be an official Warlight event to really get the attention of all the top players. If there was a prize that would also help. WSOW is probably the best competition we have at the moment, but best of 7 matches and Swiss style tournaments would be good to incorporate.

Unfortunately, Fizzer didn't seem likely to implement either of those in the near future.

Ok, I think from this and other comments people don't like the World Championship tournament.

I don't understand how you consider beating everyone in 10 games with a maximum loss of just one over a period of 6 months isn't testing... But there you go, I guess I'm not the expert. I regret even being a part of this community.

Fleece, nobody is saying they don't like your tournament! We all appreciate that you put up your own money to sponsor it. We're just postulating other ways that might be better for the World Championship.
