ive done about a 3/4 of my map but its about 5500 bytes too big after deleting the background image, how do i reduce the size?

If you're using inkscape, try using simplify on your paths.

remove background images, simplify more, save the file as a 'Plain SVG'

save as normal svg - that reduces the file size by 20% and is even more compatible in warlight.
