In some ways yes Great Expanse, If a clan is making a claim of how good they are which is notorious trait for Norman about M'Hunters then I believe Clan League is a place a clan should show-off their abilities and members capabilities. Now, People have very different ways of rating clans but on a strategical aspect I believe Clan League is the best indication. If you look at Clan League A for CL8 people are saying this is how the elite clans will fair up with Masters proving to be the best clan on WarLight.

On a community + fun aspect of course this is not the right indication of measure and shouldn't either.

Of course Clan League matters GE, how else will we get awesome charts?!?

Also, to be very frank, I'm getting tired of certain people talking about how good their clan is. As far as I can tell they are never going to give a fair opinion. Norman, you wrote a great warlight guide, but I don't see the need to insert the snarky remarks and implied comments I commonly see from you.

Clan League doesn't matter because its more a ranking of a clan's age in the league then their skill level. The recent glut of clans signing up has ruined the ability for clan league to legitimately rank clans.

Fundamentally it is impossible and stupid to rank clans. When you are comparing clans like Ragnar Lothbrok is trying to do, go based on a clan's culture. What clan will he like best, what clan will he mesh with those players best?

I agree totally Great Expense with how Ragnok Lothbrok should select a clan, Based on culture not clan league status. This was not the point I was making, I believe the thread got slightly de-railed about Norman and M'Hunters and we misunderstood each other. I totally agree with your point above ^

I still think there's a gap in competitive WL that limits the head-to-head competition between clans, and Clan League's the closest thing we have to filling that gap but it doesn't quite do the job due to it's Promotion/Relegation nature (which led to the clusterfuck we saw in the D divisions) and because not everyone organizes/tries to win.

Organization/hardwork to win should count into a clan quality lol. As plat said, the problem with M'H isn't the fact that they are in D, but that they should've clearly won CL7 easily and they didn't; D was very weak last season, weaker than now.

Even a bad M'H team could have got promoted with proper organization. Skill-wise, M'H would fight for promotion in an eventual B, in a organization/hardwork level, I'm not that sure.
