sometimes player urge me to play faster or to surrender.
I myself hate that because I want decide myself when I surrender or how fast I play.
IMO it is very impolite !
What are your opionen about that ?

It is typically seen as very rude. However, if it is clear you are losing, you should surrender.

Yea, I agree with GeneralPE here (maybe a first lol?), never rush opponents to surrender, but avoid playing until elimination, that's really annoying.

I agree with Jenny, also to notice is that if you surrender or not, many times it can influence the rsult of the game, if there are more than one team or one player likely to win.

If one player or team is clearly the winner, and the strategy of the loser is just to pull it as long as he or she can, hoping that the others have to go, is indeed very annoying but still an allowed strategy.

I have apologized to an opponent when I realized that I basically lost our game several turns earlier without realizing it.

Its not always obvious to us newer players, so a little patience is appreciated.

Jenny, I did it once myself but was very unhappy afterwards and apologised to the player. Was the time I fought for Nr.1 in ladder. I would never do that again.

Looks a lot something like stalhazi would do to reach #1 for a few days.

Everytime someone writes GG I think about stalling. Dunno why.

People asking me to hurry up and play faster is my biggest pet peeve in warlight, so I feel you Jenny. It's not only annoying and rude but distracting also.

Eh, just ignore the chat. Honestly, it's not important at all in some types of games. Especially 1v1's.

There are many nice player too, but you right sometimes it's better to ignore the chat :/

If someone takes the game too serious, they dont deserve your attention.
If someone joins a (for example) 3 days boot game, they must deal with 2d 23h turns.

I agree with everyone else here. Most people are polite, I try not to let the others get under my skin.

It may be rude to tell someone that they should surrender but it is equally rude to play past the point where defeat is inevitable. Forcing an opponent in a 1on1 to eliminate you is far more rude then asking them to surrender due to victory being assured.

I'm mainly talking about people in a 5 min real time game who ask you to play faster. Really really really hate that lol

Solution: Play more games.

I can seriously play 3 auto-games at the time with little effort. It's also more challenging, auto-game players are usually bad, so if you play 3 at the time it's less boring...

It's rude to push someone to quit. It's their choice.

Lately I've been using the autopilot feature on players that should have quit. If I have 56 troops and can still see neutral territories then there's nothing the AI could do that would make me lose.
