I'm gonna be honest. I didn't know it wasn't officially against the law to use a public restroom that is not intended for your sex until North Carolina passed a law that banned just that. I mean, I understand taking your little boy into the women's bathroom and the like, but I had no idea this was being tossed around.

So there's this idea being passed around called "transgender bathrooms." This phrase describes a bathroom in which people who identify in their minds to be a certain sex, even if they biologically aren't that sex, can use. In other words: A woman who feels like a man inside can use the men's bathroom, and a man who feels like a woman inside can use the women's bathroom... I smell rape and other acts of sexual assault. Do you?

I think this is a no brainer, but the idea is being so heavily pushed, so I might be missing something. Why? Why is this a thing? Is this the way it is in European countries? Is it no big deal to see a woman waltzing into the bathroom while you have your schlong whipped out taking a whiz in a urinal? I feel uncomfortable enough standing next to another man whilst the both of us are changing oil, hearing the occasional turd drop in a stall, but to have a woman who claims she is a man inside be in the same space is even more awkward. I couldn't imagine being a girl and seeing a man walk in.

The Obama administration claims that they are pushing the case to make all feel welcome and so as not to discriminate based on your biological makeup. In other words, telling you to use the same bathroom as the other men is discriminatory and bigoted. This is all to make the few feel welcome, but it makes the many very on edge, especially, I would think, the women. There is absolutely no proof a person can give to make sure that they feel like the other sex.

I don't think it will "skyrocket", it will likely grow moderately, but my grounding: if you're going to separate sex organs, do it, but then separate sex organs - not sex brains.

"Gender neutral" bathrooms are a thing, usually for families with young children. Some have been suggesting to install these bathrooms in more public areas for transgender people. I'm less against this idea, but if I see you walking out of one of these bathrooms, I'm going to assume you are gay. For people who haven't come out, that's a slight problem.

This would also be discriminatory, making bathrooms specifically for transgender folk, and therefore counter-productive to the main point of the issue at hand for those who support this whole case.

Look, this is a "Rants" post. I'm not looking to construct a proper college thesis for y'all. I have surprised myself that I didn't include swear words this time.

I mean it's really simple. You look at the signs, and determine which one looks like how your body does. It's not about discrimination, and it's not about telling you how to think, It is simply separating out restrooms based on what your physical appearance is as to not disgust other people in the bathroom.

Well, I myself don't feel comfortable using a public bathroom for anything other than washing my hands. In fact, I have never shitted on a public bathroom in my whole life. It'd make me twice as uncomfortable.

Sure, they could use the argument "make you less comfortable to make all trans more comfortable", but they're still much lower in numbers than arguably normal people; in the end, it's dictatorial and fascist.

No, this is just wrong. WHO was forced to take down gayness from mental illness a while ago, but transsexualism, deathlove, and a few other things are still on there, for just those kinds of loons. It's also a natural thing that happens in other beasts just as well.

I've always found it a bit odd that someone who identifies as the opposite gender finds it SO IMPORTANT that they use the bathroom designated for the gender they identify with or else they're being OPPRESSED. Plus it just opens up a world of opportunity for the perverts. It's like this with locker rooms in high schools too, with men who say they identify as women getting full access to change in the women's locker room, and when the women speak out against it they're just brushed aside. When did indecent exposure become a crime only determined by the perpetrator?
