I didn't say that. Gays are a clear minority.
Ultimately the division between the church and society regarding homosexuality does not revolve around one side failing to acknowledge the choices of the other as legitimate, but rather one side failing to accept that the other listens to a higher moral authority than themselves or society as a whole. (even though this other guy is going on about islam, close enough)
Actually, "society"'s higher moral authority trumps anything else. Evil and good are only relative. But this constant moral authority is part of the grounds why some Christians are very anti-science - science contradicts Christianity, in, for example, creationism.
Also, we're not going to cater just since you believe a God, everyone should. If you really were Christian, then you'd do what it tells you in the Book.

So it actually sounds like moderate Christians are the problem.

I was joking - I don't actually really hate Islam, though the practice of it...very iffy. But anyhow - dogmatism of any kind is not intrinsically peaceful.
