On open games there are games to choose from. Within the picture of the actual map there is a time. 5 min. 3 min. 3 days... What does that mean? The game will only last 3 minutes or there are 3 minutes until the game starts??
The number listed there shows the maximum amount of time
each player in the match has to take their turn, before they get booted from the match. There is no set duration for a WarLight game.
There's one right now. European Diplo that says 5 minutes but there are 28 player slots. Sooo 3 minutes to get 28 players turns in or 3 minutes to get a max of 28 players before the game starts? What am I missing?
There are two types of WarLight games. Real-time and Multi-day. Real-time games have much shorter boot times, and expect you to play it right then (without going to bed in between turns, etc). Multi-day games usually give players several days to take their turn, before they get booted. Players normally take their turns simultaneously, which is how 28 players can cram their turns in in 3 minutes. Anyone who takes longer than the boot time gets removed from the match, to prevent games from going on indefinitely.
My other question is do open games cost coin?
Only coin games cost coins. Coins can be bought for
real money and when you've earned enough coins (7500 minimum) by winning coin games, you can convert them back into
real money. If a game in the lobby doesn't mention an entry fee of coins, then it's totally free. Coin games are listed at the top of the lobby, and beneath them you get the free real-time/multi-day games (there's a button to switch between open real-time games and multi-day, or you can view both on the same page).
O yea, since I'm here how many people do you figure come to the site per day? I'm kind of just wondering how many veterans I'll run into. Probably most of you. Do ya'll get many fresh fish.............
New players are frequently found hovering around the game, though the majority of people on the forums have been here for quite some time.
