I was going to correct a connection error after encountering one in one of my maps, but it didn't allow me to, because I couldn't publish a map because there were multiple territories named same. This does not only severely discourages creating big maps, especially map of a country/region/or something else with a lot of same names, but also makes fixing error(s) in such map that was already made impossible.

I'm totally cool with it being used for new maps, I mean I normally validate as I go along anyway. It is a real pain in the butt when doing updates though.

Well, for example, on the big US map, there are at LEAST three Scott counties. That's one reason.
