I wonder, why are there no maps of the Mongolian Empire? Because there is a constant lack of sources to rely on. That's why I'm going to plan to do a map of the Mongolian Empire from scratch. This map will take more than a month but less than 2 months. The map will include 31 separate states/tribes. More will be added, but this is for now. A link will be provided as time passes...
there never was such a thing as a mopngolian empire, they just went of conquering stuff and after a while they would say: "oh, im bored, lest get back home"
No there was a Mongolian Empire ( a " Khanate " if you want to get technical ). It conquered many empires and brought about great commerce and peace at the expense of millions of lives. After they stopped conquering for a while, they eventually split under different petty Khanates and Hordes. A few stunning achievements by some horsemen with bows, arrows and cool hats:
1. Having the largest contiguous land empire in history ( almost 25% of the planet, barely behind the English Empire ).
2. Installing the last Chinese Dynasty, lasting from 1600-ish all the way to the creation of the PRC ( People's Republic of China ).
3. Not exactly an achievement, but they have a really cool theme song ( which they are quite welcome for ).

You got confused with Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan. Alexander the Great's men were tired and crap and wanted to quit after their great conquest. Genghis Khan died and his empire still expanded although divided by separate rulers.
To prevent this from being unreplyable, I have updated the map. Feel free to argue that the names of my territory are not reasonable correctly. As you have to understand, most of them were tribes and tribes did not have "a line of territory" and physical location for territories are impossible as many things can change in 8 centuries.
