I like 1v1 games, tournaments. I would like team games too, if I could find reliable, good, long-term team members.
I'll hopefully soon get a membership, then I'm planning to host 1v1 tournaments with unusual maps and/or settings.
I would like to create a a map (or more) of Hungary, but I do not think I'm creative and committed enough to finish it.

Mian from France, mostly a 1v1 player. I do believe in the efficiency of slow positional play though what mostly thrills me would be tactical topics, unbalanced shares of income leading to complicated, deceptive and lower-eco games, mutual destruction and big exchanges. I do compare very much WL with go game and card play to some point, and I usually try doing the math before deciding. It makes me somewhat slower, so I'm not really real-time oriented, I enjoy hovering between a bunch of multi-day games.

I consider it very important to explain the game to beginners or weaker players, so much that I think of me as a little WL teacher sometimes XD
WL still lacks flexible tools to review games so I brought some ideas to UserVoice you may want to read and support with your votes ^^

I'm from Serbia, game is really great for an on-line game. And 3v3 europe games are almost only type of games I play. The game attracted me because it was one of the rare games where you don't have to pay to be in advantage but i guess it's not anymore.
I also tried making one big Balkan/Yugoslavian map and lost it somewhere on the end i was working on it for at least 2 months... now im too lazy to do it again

I'm a Croatian from Bosnia who resides in the U.S. I joined this game a while ago and haven't stopped since. Lots of cool people to play with and it rarely gets boring for me. I mostly play 3v3 Europe.

Happily, the membership (or lack thereof) doesn't give you a competitive advantage within the game, it just allows you to customize more options when creating games, and it lets you join the ladders. It really would be totally bogus if being a member meant you had an actual advantage within a particular game, but that's not the case, thankfully.

I love auto-games, they're pretty much ALL I play now. I love the unpredictability of the maps, you can't start the smae places each time and experience matters more later in games but less early on. I agree with this statement:

I give hints an tips and have even invited some beginners into pracitce games to help as it can be hard for some an we need more players.
I'm beginning to hate multi-players, multi-attack and people who abandon games when they begin losing.
