I have studied American Political history all my life and I learned that......I hate both parties lol. Anyhow, here are my list of the best US Presidents and why they were. This was done from memory so bare with me here. Also sorry about the title, I ended up at 10 lol.



1: FDR, DEMOCRAT.

This was a hard one. It was neck and neck between Washington, Reagan, and Jefferson. But after hard research, I decided it should be FDR. Now, you all know my famous criticism of him. He started much of our fraud and waste problems and the New Deal wasn't as great as the alter we all put it on. But, it worked. He did the correct thing ( Even though it took him two terms ). He would have actually been 2 if my research hadn't reminded me of how I liked his earlier diplomatic approach.


2: REAGAN , REPUBLICAN

Like FDR, Not exactly my favorite president but his policies worked. He was tough but fair with Unions. Most people forget how he had good relations with Unions during his first term. In fact, he was a unionist most of his life before he became a republican during Johnsons War On Poverty ( Probably the worst Progressive disaster in history ). His foreign policy however is what I most liked. Speak Softly and Carry a big stick. He kept to the Monroe Doctrine and made sure to develop a good friendship with Gorbachev. I however hated Iran Contra, it was truly his low water mark. However, unlike Obama with the NSA scandal or Bush with Iraq, at least he had the nerve to apologize and admit he made a mistake. America loved him for it, and so do I.


3: GEORGE WASHINGTON, FEDERALIST OR NEUTRAL ( There is some debate but since he tended to side with Hamilton, it's a safe assumption )

He handled our first couple of years with ease. I gave him 3 because he kept us out of European affairs and was smart enough to steer clear of the French revolution. Basically, because he gave Adam's a nice starting position and was smart at foreign policy is why he's at 3.



4: ABRAHAM LINCOLN, REPUBLICAN

I think he deserves this one. He definitely wasn't the best at war BUT his diplomatic mastery by keeping England and France out of the war was truly awesome. Cudos for also sticking to what he believed to be right. Why is he not first? Because he basically started the civil war lol. He was brash and refused to comprise with Southerners plus his economic policies weren't all that hot too. And who could ever forgive him for giving us Andrew Johnson.


5: KENNEDY, DEMOCRAT

He worked with Republicans, followed TRs foreign policy models ( mostly ), Kept a nice economy, and was the first president to champion equal rights in a big way, plus he started the space race in America. He was morally a really bad guy and handled the bay of pigs disastrously and he was the one who started real involvement in Vietnam. I actually compare him to Bill Clinton, they were very similar.


6: THEODORE ROOSEVELT, REPUBLICAN

My personal favorite. A progressive Republican, what's better than that!. He's actually more of a tie for 5 but I put here because he botched the 1912 elections and allwed that son of a bitch named Wilson ( I really really hate Wilson ) to get into office. He had the sense to help farmers and was the people's champion ( this is best scene in his war on steel ) and was the original author of the best Foreign policy in my opinion.



7: BILL CLINTON, DEMOCRAT

^^ look at Kennedy and that's basically Clinton with different circumstances



8: FILMORE, WHIG ( Conservatives )

He kept the nation together and was the last President to basically keep the shit from bursting fourth, that took talent. If I remember, he did relatively good in all categories



9: EISENHOWER, REPUBLICAN.

I put him here because of his fantastic Equal rights/Economy record. He actually wasn't bad in many areas but foreign policy ( he was a bit aggressive fur my taste ) he just didn't do enough great stuff to get higher on here





10: ANDREW JACKSON, DEMOCRAT

People rave about him all the time but really, what was so great about him?. Jackson was responsible for what is considered the worst era for native Americans. He claimed frontiersmen all supported his actions ( Davy Crockett proved this to be bullshit ). I do however appreciate how he was probably the first people's president and did some great things for small business owners





RELATIVELY GOOD PRESIDENTS WHO DIDN'T MAKE IT ON THIS LIST:

Nixon, McKinley, Jefferson, Monroe, Hayes, Obama.




WORST PRESIDENTS:

Jimmy Carter, Bush W ( For Iraq and 08, otherwise, he was mediocre not terrible ) Andrew Johnson, LBJ.

ECONOMY: Reagan/FDR

FOREIGN POLICY: Theodore Roosevelt, Kennedy, Washington, Reagan, Truman, Lincoln, Monroe.

DOMESTIC ISSUES: Obama, LBJ ( Eh, he signed the most important human rights bill in American history ) Kennedy, Eisenhower, Lincoln ( He fought a bloody for my nigga ass lol )

PERSONAL FAVORITES: Theodore Roosevelt, Truman ( All about that Marshall Plan y'all ) Washington, Reagan ( we have a love hate relationship )

If your opinion of someone is based truly off of one document, you aren't looking at the whole picture. LBJ cheated and had more scandals than Nixon for sure, but Nixon is blown out of the water by the snarky Democrats.

Gorbachev did all the heavy lifting for what people claim he did.

However Reagan was good, as was FDR. Obama is a damn good president imo. Gets a lot of hate. Clinton was a fantastic president, in recent history. Lincoln was decent. G. Washington was terrible, slave owner. Kennedy was really good. Bernie would be the best they've ever had, but Hill Clinton will be up above Bill probably.

Lincoln was decent

Fighting a defensive war and preventing Balkanization of a area (which would result in many wars), essentially freeing the slaves (wasn't his intention at the start, nor was he doing it purely for it, but it's better than not doing it), etc gets you a average score, but waging a dozen imperial wars across the world gets you a good score? OxtheImperial sounds more proper.

G. Washington was terrible, slave owner

There are over a million non-violent offenders in US prisons. They have not committed any real crimes, and are forced to work often. That's slavery. And yes, Obama is a slave owner, and many other presidents were too because of this.

Kennedy was really good

All America's best presidents have been before the 1930s. Really, before the 1800s. I mean the Barbary Wars were kind of justifiable, and maybe even the American-British War, but the wars upon Indigenous folk? Not justifiable one bit, arguably the darkest times in the American past.
